The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Saturday security forces loyal to President Bashar Assad shot at least 20 people to death in Syria, dumping 34 bodies in a public square in the city of Homs.

The Arab League has given Syria until Wednesday to grant entry to observers or face potential action by the UN Security Council.
