The anti-Israel BDS movement was dealt a blow when the Florida House of Representatives, by a vote of 112-2, passed a bill that will prohibit the state from doing business with companies that comply with boycotts of Israel. The bill had already been passed unanimously by Florida’s state senate.

“I am very pleased to report that anti-BDS legislation received almost unanimous support in its passage,” said Sharona Whisler, executive director of the Florida region of Zionist Organization of America. “This will be a tangible victory against the vicious discriminatory efforts of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement.”
