A group of Jewish tourists who were walking in the Old City of Jerusalem around the entries to the Temple Mount Wednesday were pelted with stones by Arabs, Honenu reported. A brawl ensued, following which four Jewish tourists, one of them a woman, were arrested by police.

The detainees were taken for interrogation at the local police station and are being represented by Honenu attorney Rehavia Pilz.

Following their arrest, the four detainees spent the night in jail and will appear before a magistrate judge Thursday.

According to police, the tourists were detained because they refused to interrupt their tour of the Old City despite the attack and the consequent encounter with rioting Arabs.
