The RASG Hebrew Academy Warriors defeated the Rambam Ravens to claim the Tier II championship at the Sarachek Basketball Tournament at Yeshiva University. This is the first-ever Tier II championship for the school.

The Warriors began the tournament as the #8 seed, but fell short in their first game. However, they showed great resilience and bounced back to win all three of their remaining games. They were reseeded as #1 in Tier II after a game-winning layup at the buzzer by Shmuel Kahn. The final game of the tournament was watched in live stream by high school students and faculty at the school.

According to Rabbi Aharon Assaraf, Hebrew Academy director of student life, who traveled to New York with the senior class to support the team, “This win is going to leave a mark that is a source of pride and unity for the whole school, paving the way for even better things to come.”

Warriors player Daniel Yerushalmi said, “This is a big stepping stone for the program. It unified the team and was even more meaningful because we had the whole school watching at home. We are looking forward to building on this for next year.”
