IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot awards Medal of Appreciation to USMC General Joseph Dunford, head of US Joint Chiefs of Staff

IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot awarded USMC General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, with a Medal of Appreciation on Tuesday.

The award was presented to General Dunford by the IDF chief of staff in recognition of the American military chief’s leadership, accomplishments and friendship, Eizenkot said.

The two men have known each other for years, and during Eizenkot’s last visit to the U.S. he was presented with a similar medal by Dunford.
