An IDF soldier was stabbed at around 11:30 am Monday and wounded in the community of Tzur Yitzhak, located in the southern Sharon region.

The unidentified attacker managed to escape after stabbing the victim, who sustained minor wounds.

The soldier has been evacuated for medical treatment. Security forces are searching the area for the attacker.

Police told media they are “not ruling out” the possibility the attack was driven by nationalistic motives, but are exploring all other options as well.
