More than 2,000 people have made contributions in memory of the young victims of the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut to plant a grove of trees in Israel.

Over $61,000 has been raised to plant over 3,300 trees in honor of the victims of the December 14 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The trees will be planted at the Beersheva River Park, a 1,700 acrew water, environmental and commercial area under development near Beersheva.

The project was conducted at the behest of Veronique Pozner, the mother of Jewish Sandy Hook victim, Noah.
