A private meeting was scheduled in New York on Monday between Abu Mazen, who had come to attend United Nations deliberations, and several influential members of the American Jewish community. The brazenness of Abu Mazen is startling. He will not, he is widely reported to have said, doanything to stop Hamas and the other terrorist groups unless Israel accepts the "road map" - with its requirement of an immediate cessation of Israeli anti-terror activity in the West Bank and Gaza - as is and begins to implement its provisions.

1. I just know you are going to be outraged by this violation of the human rights of Arabs by Jews and will want to demand a full investigation and indictment of the guilty. Such things are simply intolerable in a civilized country. They violate the Road Map and the very Osloid foundations of Ariel Sharon's new government.
