I have the enormous privilege and responsibility of working in security, emergency rescue and public relations- each of the following are important and necessary.

As one who stands in front of the world in order to tell and explain who we – Am Yisrael – and especially the Jewish pioneers in Yesha are, before I speak or write I pray that the L-rd of Israel allows me to find the proper words in order to bring the truth to the world in the face of all the lies and hatred aimed at us.

I wish to bring an example of the mutual support by relaying a situation that my community, Bet Horon experiences in all sorts of situations. There are of course people in our community who receive salaries for their work and rightfully so.  However most of the committees are made up from volunteers: Community emergency committee, Mutual support committee, Education committee, Ambulance team, Community committee, Education committee, First response team for example of some of them.

We have experienced a terrible tragedy last week when one of our young men was killed in a motorcycle crash z”l, and a son in our community is a son of all of our families, not just the personal family. This is one of the realities of our Nation, not only inside our community,  that is almost impossible for outsiders to comprehend.

When we are in battle we not only think of the National mission or even the battle itself or our own situation- we think of our brothers in arms and worry about their safety.

When our yishuv (community) -Bet Horon – is in an emergency situation, everyone mobilizes to help no matter if it is a tragedy, as we experienced just last week, or an emergency with snow and extreme weather conditions, or security emergency, or even on the contrary when BH we have a new baby born or Bar Mitzvah etc.

We have an enormous privilege first and foremost to be able to live and serve our L-rd, our Land and people, and be able to personally contribute also to public relations in order to distribute the truth.  We have an enormous privilege to be able to give and we also are aware that he who gives of himself receives so much in return.

May we always be able to help in happy situations. amen.
