Fire erupts near Be'eri in southern Israel after an incendiary terror balloon from Gaza explodes nearby

At least 13 fires broke out Monday in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council District, all believed to have been started by Gaza arson balloon terrorists from across the border.

Shortly after four o’clock in the afternoon, one of the incendiary balloons landed in a kindergarten in the district. Miraculously, the children had already left for the day, and no one was injured in the blaze.

Another fire blackened a wheat field, with the flames spreading to a water reservoir near Kibbutz Nir Am. The blaze eventually reached the memorial that was created to commemorate the 73 IDF soldiers who died in the 1997 collision of two military helicopters.
