IDF troops in the area of the Samaria Regional Brigade prevented a stabbing attack by an Arab terrorist Saturday night near the Palestinian Authority Arab village of Beit Furik.

The IDF said combat soldiers spotted the terrorist because he was acting suspiciously.

A body search of the suspect turned up a knife into which notches were cut into the blade — in order to maximize damage to a victim’s internal organs — as well as tear gas. Both were confiscated.

The suspect was transferred to the custody of Israeli security personnel for further investigation and interrogation.
