A female Israeli soldier was seriously injured Tuesday night during an operation to arrest a wanted terrorist in the village of Tubas, in the northwestern Jordan Valley, northeast of Shechem.

The soldier sustained shrapnel wounds during a shootout with Palestinian Authority terrorists during the overnight counterterrorism raid.

She is currently listed in serious but stable condition, and is fully conscious, according to a report Wednesday afternoon on Galei Tzahal IDF Radio.
