As a grandparent myself, Baruch Hashem, I know how easy it is to want to give everything, but too much of a good thing can easily turn into a bad thing. When we allow grandparents to be an extension of the parents, and not vise versa, we can successfully raise children with good values, and a respect for themselves and for others.  Grandparents are the second most important people a child is fortunate enough to have in his or her life. If they are wise and loving (as opposed to selfish and controlling) they will recognize the wonderful things that come into being via this collaborative effort.

Lots of luck with your in-laws and please keep us posted.
