  1. I think it is a lost cause. Just like there is Modiin and Modiin Ilit, which are characterized by haredi and non charedi societies, but are two separate entities, so should Bet Shemesh be divided – just one problem, who will pay for all the services in the haredi Bet Shemesh since they rely on the working population, inother words the non haredim, to pay taxes for their questionable lifestyle – which is not in accordance with any religion, certainly not Judaism.

  4. Ruth- Unfortunally you have been misinformed. Most discounts are going to the old bet shemesh, mainly the etiopian community. Who will pay for their services if bet shemesh gets devided??? Or is that somewhat discriminating…maybe think before you say stuff

  5. RBS A is a mix as you see above. Where would you put them? what about the chareidi neighborhoods that are in old Beit Shemesh proper? The key is to unite everyone- not to split and cause more hated and separation.
