  1. Free Gaza from what? Hamas? Never understood that phrase after Sharon gave them the territory.

  2. Shame on you Tzvi. You could have contacted me as you have done many oher times. Your article is completely off base. This initiative is NOT a Free Gaza project. It is a Gaza's Ark project, something completely different. Most of the time, I respect your attempt to at least 'try to be objective.' This time, you have failed miserably. Greta Berlin, Free Gaza movement

  3. This is such a complete piece of fiction the author should be embarrassed. This initiative has nothing to do with Free Gaza, though we support it wholeheartedly. The first flotilla, which was attacked by zionist pirates in international waters, resulting in the murder of nine unarmed passengers, was sailed at the end of May 2010, and our second flotilla sailed from Greece in 2011. The reason the Palestinians in Gaza are suffering is on the shoulders of Israel. Convenient now to blame Egypt, which is being paid by the U.S. to collaborate with Israel, just as Mubarak was paid to do the same thing. It was Israeli terrorist gunboats that attacked Palestinian fishermen within their own territorial waters today. It was Israeli terrorists who violated the ceasefire in 2009 in order to attack Gaza, murdering over 1400 Palestinians, mostly civilians and many women and children, including by use of chemical weapons. Viva Gaza's Ark. Free Gaza. Free Palestine.

  4. You are correct, and I have corrected the article.

    Comment by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu — November 28, 2013 @ 6:14 AM

  5. I indeed am wrong and Great is right, and the article is now corrected. Free Gaza is not sponsoring the mini-arks, It is being sponsored by the Free Palestine Movement, endorsed by Noam Chomsky and a bunch of other freedom-loving groups and individuals who eagerly support the freedom-loving Hamas terrorist organization, which is all that remains for them to thinly mask their anti-Zionist agenda. Greta is correct. In the past we have communicated, and this time I didn't. I can admit I am wrong, although the rest of the article stands. Now, how about someone else admitting he or she can b e wrong? Mary Thompson's comment goes beyond an agenda based on half-facts and half-lies. It is a work of fiction.

  7. Mary, I think you see Jews as Christkillers, which is the way your parish priest may have taught you. However, rather than call Jews Christkillers, which sounds old-fashioned, you feel sorry for the Arabs, whereas the Arabs oppressed Jews in Israel and other Arab/Muslim-ruled lands for more than 1000 years.

Of course, given your basic premise, you claim that "Egypt . . . is being paid by the US to collaborate with Israel." In fact, both Israel and Egypt are opposed to the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Hamas is an offshoot. Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza have been collaborating with other Muslim Brotherhood, Wahabi, and Salafist groups in Sinai which have been making terrorist attacks on Egypt. In other words, Mary, Egypt has its own reasons for punishing the Hamas and the other Islamist terrorists in Gaza. Moreover, if you haven't noticed, the US lately cut back on its aid to Egypt because the US under Obama supports the anti-Israel, anti-Jewish Muslim Brotherhood which the present Egyptian government opposes for its own reasons.

  8. Thank you, Mary. You, like very few of us, speak with authority, having been on a Flotilla.
