Damage to a car attacked by Arab road terrorists in the Jerusalem neighborhood of A-Tur, October 2, 2014.

A woman and three teenage girls miraculously escaped an Arab lynch mob on Thursday afternoon in the Jerusalem A-Tur neighborhood on the Mount of Olives.

The driver of the car, a teacher, and the three teenage girls were returning from school to the Maaleh HaZeitim neighborhood at around 1:30pm, when they detoured through the A-Tur neighborhood due to congestion near Wadi Joz. The detour is a standard shortcut to avoid the Wadi Joz traffic.

Once inside the neighborhood, the driver noticed a crowd on the road. She had to stop and the car was then hit by a rock.

The rest of the Arabs then noticed them, and within seconds, the car was surround by Arabs, and the way behind them purposely blocked by another car.

The Arabs began pelting the car with large rocks from all directions. The car’s windows and the car were smashed.

The girls in the back seat covered themselves with their school knapsacks to prevent themselves from getting hit by the rocks and shattering glass.

One girl in the back seat was injured by a rock to the back.

Not yet panicking, the driver kept trying to call the police and the local security services to help them escape.

After being hit by rocks for a few minutes, the driver finally saw an opening and zoomed out of the neighborhood.

Once outside, they flagged down a police car, at which point the policeman called for an ambulance and transported two of the injured and scared girls to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital.

Police cars were then seen entering the A-Tur neighborhood.

Update: The girls have been released from the hospital.

  1. I’m glad she got out but you don’t see a blockage ahead in a place like that and drive into it. She should have made an immediate Uey and gotten out of there. And no, I’m not blaming the victim but it’s reality, folks. You choose to live in a war zone, you follow the rules of combat or you lose.

  2. Debby Fayga Obvious, Debby! We can talk politics, philosophy all day but we still have to live in that war one and not engage in magical thinking. I am a very pratical person. It needs to change but my driving into danger isn’t going to do that.

  3. Debby Fayga We can’t afford those mistakes. I can’t even imagine the thinking of someone where someone would do that. I take responsibility for my own life. I don’t wait for the government to do it. Even if she’d been armed, the chances of shooting her way out were not good. That’s why top personal security people are taught evasive tactics for driving. It’s something all of us who drive in Israel need to know.

  4. Why are Jews under attack in their own homeland? Why does the government permit this murderous recklessness to continue, and what is being done to stop it. I know that Bibi is afraid of the international community and the Obamalek, but honestly he should be more afraid of what will happen if nothing is done? Sometimes one has to stand up, and muster up all the strength and courage one has and fight off with all might and all means available the enemy- it even means being more fierce and ruthless than they are.

  5. Mr. Prime Minister: I think you are responsible for the safety of your citizens as your first responsibility as our President is in the USA. So, as we see it – what is the problem ? Obama ? He is not the President of Israel — YOU ARE — so go ahead and lead foe gosh sakes !

  6. Politics aside, you should be free to drive where you need to. Should start driving armored vehicles that fire rubber bullets and some sort of arab threat radar detection. Have the bullets laced with some sort of trackable invisible paint, that can be tracked by the police. It is just a thought.

  8. Meira Yolanda Lettieri she made a mistake, and yes we cannot change what is at the moment but with protests and strong resistance to the present irresponsible and negligent leadership, we can take control

  11. We are from America, and to many of us, The Prime Minister is NOT afraid. He confronts the terrorists head on.
And stands firm, and rejects, Beloved Israel being divided, or any threats made to her. We in America, pray for a man like him, to lead our country. Just sayin…….

  13. I cannot understand why those arabs are not expelled with or without various pretences although murdering people is the best carge. They get huge fines forcing their parents sell teir houses and leave. bibi should stop his incessant babble and turn to action otherwise he will end up out of work!

  15. This is smack in the middle of the capital of Israel.
Every citizen of Israel should feel safe to drive in their capital. The moment we stop driving there out of fear of getting stoned that's the moment that the holy city of Jerusalem has been apandoned. We can't let that happen. It may be dangerous to drive there but we can't give up on it.
What must change is the policy of the reaction to stone throwing in Jerusalem by Arab citizens in Jerusalem. If someone is caught throwing stones for nationality reasons apparently he is no friend of the Jewish State and thus should have his citizenship taken away.

  16. Dov Jacobs Actually I will go a step further, the Arabs are in a full scale guerrilla war with us. the fact is they have been in a non stop war of attrition since before 47. We are still fighting the War of Independence And right now they are ramping up their attacking us on the streets, and soon again from the air. They should be forced into exile, to their original home, Jordan. Israel must forget about being PC- this is survival and the PC attitude is a tool of our enemies to tie our hands so that we fail and lose this war. The goal is to defeat us, by wearing us down, wearing down our strength, our economy, our resilience and most importantly our will to fight

  17. <3 G-d keep his eyes shining upon you and your people, Israel. Keep Your eyes on Him, beloved people. And may the Lord give great wisedom, guidance and strenth to Your Prime Minister, that he may take the right desitions in mad times like these.

  18. Dear Israel, We pray for your peace and bless you from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Have a blessed Yom Kippur. “<3"
Thankful they escaped. G-D protects, and defends His people. "<3" The Apple of G-D'S eye. His Beloved. "<3"

  19. If this continues without a positive response from the Police – which seems to be happening – Arafat, Abbas the entire PLO will win.. they will take your Country away from you – one day, one rock at a time even if it takes a decade — they will not stop unless you stop them. One State — the State of Israel is the answer. That means that the Israeli Arabs will probably have to de-camp for Jordan eventually.
