A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck south central Alaska Monday, 93 miles northwest of Anchorage at a depth of 77 miles.

Alaskans felt the tremors, but no damage was reported.

The epicenter of the tremor was on Yunaska Island, the largest island in the chain of volcanic Aleutian Islands that stretch across the northern Pacific from the US to Russia.
