An armed Arab teen from the community of Aqabat Jaber in the Jericho governorate was caught Sunday by Israeli Border Guard police officers. The teen was spotted monitoring the Border Guard base in the Jordan Valley.

A routine search of the boy’s belongings turned up two firebombs (Molotov cocktails) and a knife.

Security forces said they believe the suspect intended to carry out an attack against officers stationed in the area.

The teen was taken into custody for questioning.
