A Gazan Terror Tunnel

The IDF discovered a terror tunnel inside Israel that originated from within the Gaza strip. The tunnel’s reached 100 meters inside Israel, and ended between Kibbutz Nir Oz and the Gaza security fence.

The IDF troops were on operational duty at the time near the southern Gaza border when they saw a section of ground that collapsed. Upon closer investigation it was discovered that a section of the ground over the tunnel had collapsed inward, apparently because of the rain.

The IDF is trying to determine when the tunnel was dug, and is looking at this as a very serious event, and very specifically as an attempt to commit a terror attack against Israeli civilians and the IDF.

The IDF tweeted that the large tunnel was similar to the tunnel used to kidnap Gilad Shalit in 2006.

There is also concern that there might be additional tunnels in the area that weren’t discovered.

On Monday, Abu Muhmad, spokesman for Islamic Jihad said that, “Kidnapping soldiers is the only way to free Palestinian prisoners from jail.”

  3. they don't know, they are check in now

  4. Palestine will never recognize Israel as a state or country. I'm tired of us giving up our land for the sake of peace. We should just take back the gaza strip, and claim back our land. Ha Shem gave us this land. The palestinians wouldn't try to take manhattan as their land. Why are we allowing it?

  5. Jewish people are allowing it, because they are too nice, and am glad that G-d sent the rain, so that the tunnel was discovered. G-d bless Israel and its people.

nobody will ever recognize israel as a state. the majority of the world does not do so. because israel is a terrorist community. its a group of fanatics invading other peoples countries. so what do u expect from the people that want their land back. get back home

  7. Iris Rothman says:

Yikes! There is just no end to attempts at terror from Gaza. Is this what we can expect on another front if the West Bank becomes part of a Palestinian State?

  8. Mr Annoymous. Are you affraid to put your name? Not affraid to make to make a racist comment. You should be thankful for everything the Jews have done over the years. If you have a computer, it wasn't the Japanese. Steve Jobs was a Jew, did you know that? The Movie Academy was funded by Jews. Medicines are invented by Jews. Take a look around you. The Drip Watering System which farmers all across the world use, a Jew invention. I say thank you God for your people the Jews.

  9. Gail Cox says:

This is just one more example of how GOD protects ISrael as there are many other places where things like this happened in past.
