It’s an interesting mountain. According to Wikipedia, archaeological excavations in the Qafzeh Cave in the mountain found human remains, whose estimated age is 100,000 years old.

Highway 60 goes through a tunnel dug into the mountain in the site of an old quarry on the mountain. The tunnel connects Afula and the Jezreel Valley directly to Nazareth.
