Liverpool Jews Brace for Neo-Nazi ‘White Man March’ Set for Sabbath

Wednesday, August 12th, 2015

Jews in Liverpool are bracing themselves to face a nasty round of ugly neo-Nazi hate with the ‘White Man March’ held on the Sabbath, courtesy of British law.

In fact, neo-Nazis all over the Twitterverse are salivating over the upcoming event. As the organizers themselves explained in a tweet:

White Man March UK @WhiteManMarchUK – Jun 6
We do not stand to oppose the colour of a man’s skin, we stand to oppose a sick Jewish ideological system @SmashCM79

Previous similar marches have been held as a platform for neo-Nazis to commit hate crimes in Britain, the Meyerside Jewish Representative Council noted in a petition to Chief Constable Sir Jon Murphy QPM of Meyerside Police.

The first ‘White Man March’ was held on March 21 of this year in Newcastle where neo-Nazis were “completely unopposed,” organizers bragged in a tweet. Footage of that event is self-explanatory.

Activists on the Twitter social networking site have been tweeting for nearly a month about the upcoming event.

“This march is a disgrace to the culture heritage of Liverpool and is a vehicle from which unnecessary violence could derive.” wrote one person today (Wednesday, August 12.)

“This is a march to incite racism. This kid has sent serious threats to our mayor and our city. Why hasn’t he been arrested?” asked another in a tweet, also posted today.

“I am a Christian minister and a supporter of Liverpool’s Jewish community,” tweeted a third.

But these voices of reason are being drowned out by the vicious anti-Semitism and racist garbage being fired across the Internet by neo-Nazi organizers and White Supremacists.

The Meyerside Jewish Representative Council asked the Chief Constable to exercise his powers under Section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986 to restrict the planned march.

Instead, the community activist group is asking Murphy to force the neo-Nazis to hold their demonstration at a location away from major thoroughfares and residential areas, for a short time and restricted to a small number of participants.

In addition, the Jewish group has called on Meyerside Police and the Liverpool City Council to apply for an injunction against the neo-Nazi event under Part 1 of the Anti-Social Behavior, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

They are hoping to ban the organizers and speakers for the planned march from making or causing to be made or distributing any statement or image likely to cause harassment, alarm and distress; and holding any kind of public assembly within two hundred meters of a synagogue, Jewish cemetery, or Jewish community or cultural center.

The march, organized by Wayne Jarvis of Castleford, is backed by the far-right National Action (NA. Also supporting the march are other racist) and anti-Semitic groups, including the North West Infidels (NWI), the Misanthropic Division and the National Front.

An equally active “Stop the Nazi ‘White Man’ March” movement is organized on Facebook and is urging members to retweet and share posts until gathering at 11am at William Brown Street in Liverpool, an hour before the scheduled start of the neo-Nazi march.

Pro-Israelis Outnumber London Neo-Nazis 20-1

Sunday, July 5th, 2015

Hundreds of Jews and other anti-Nazi demonstrators grossly outnumbered a total of 21 neo-Nazis who paraded in a rally aimed against “Jewification” of London.

Even the number of police surrounding the neo-Nazis outnumbered the hate group, which was met with signs such as “Nazi scum – off our streets.”

The neo-Nazi rally originally was scheduled for the heavily Jewish-populated Golders Green neighborhood, but London officials changed the venue to the Whitehall area because of the fear of a confrontation.

Approximately 200 police officers were present to separate the lower-than-expected numbers of neo-Nazis from the pro-Israel and-anti-Nazi groups.

Among those protesting the neo-Nazi rally were the Green Party and the Socialist Worker Party as well as the left-wing “Jewdas.”

The London Jewish Chronicle reported that a Jewdas spokesman said:

We should oppose Nazis wherever they happen to be, to make a loud noise to show that we’re opposing them in central London too – it’s not just Golders Green.

There are Jews here too. By being here at least passers-by aren’t walking by and just seeing another rally, they’re seeing people opposing them.

“These people don’t just have crazy ideas, they have racist ideas. They hurt people, they beat up people. We stand against them.

Video Exposes Massive and Violent Anti-Semitism on US Campuses [video]

Monday, October 6th, 2014

Jews on American campuses from coast-to-coast are trying to wake up Americans to be aware that violent anti-Semitism is spreading plague, but the students are a weak voice, living in fear and asking, “Never again?”

The Jewish Voices on Campus’ Aaron Goldenberg posted a video this week on the Legal Insurrection website that exposes widespread hate and violence that have become so common place that, in the words of one California student, “it is expected.”

The Jewish Press this past year has published dozens of reports of racist and violent anti-Semitism, including here, here, here, and here. The reaction of American Jewish leaders, let alone non-Jews, has had zero effect. Even worse, there is no lack of American Jews, totally detached from Israel and from Judaism, who throw fuel on the fires of hate by damning Israel for its very existence.

It is totally un-American even to suggest that the United States is not a freedom-loving country.

It is not acceptable to think aloud that Nazism could dominate America.

The American psyche, still imagining that God, Mom, and Apple Pie are the foundations of the country, cannot even consider that the radical Muslim revolution in Europe has sown its seeds of hate and anarchy in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Jews on campus are too afraid to be brave. The same goes for Canada, where a University of Calgary student says he is “paranoid” and sometimes “afraid to walk by myself” on campus.

“Being against Israel has become the cool thing to so,” according to Harvard University student Michael. [No last names were used in the video – ed.]

At Kent State University, a professor freely calls his students his “little jihadists” and teaches them that Israel is the spiritual heir to Hitler.

The same professor is on the terrorist watch list.

It is not very re-assuring to know he is being watched.

Violent anti-Jewish and anti-Israel rallies have sent dozens of Jewish students to hospitals.

Gideon of the University of Arizona relates that after he refused entry to his residence to someone whom he did not know and who had brought alcohol with him, he was faced a few minutes later with a gang of 20. “I was struck from behind and was unconscious,” he says. “I was in the hospital for three weeks…with a skull fracture and concussion.”

His conclusion is frightening: “It is sad to see,” he moans.

That’s it? Sad?

Anti-Semites, whites, blacks, Hispanics, Muslim – you name it – are cursing and physically attacking Jews and burning Israeli flags, and it is “sad?”

Is anyone listening?

Campus officials utter empty statements “condemning” violence. Jewish leaders rant and rave. And violence continues.

The Jewish Press reported this week that one university suspended the Students for Justice for Palestine group for one whole week for violating the civil rights of Jews. One week.

SJP was re-instated because it promised to behave nicely.

Put that in the “items to remember” folder.

Wllliam Jacobson wrote on Legal Insurrection, “We have posted many times about how the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement, through faculty and Students for Justice in Palestine branches, has turned campuses and classrooms into political battlefields in the worst way.

“When Northeastern University SJP marches to the chant of “Long Live the Intifada,” they are celebrating the bloody suicide bombing campaign.

“When Vassar College SJP pickets a class and forces a professor to walk the gauntlet just because the course involved a trip to Israel, and anti-Israel students jeer Jewish students who spoke up for Israel, they are sending a message of continued conflict — so it was no surprise when Vassar SJP tweeted out a Nazi cartoon….

British Mandate Boss Said Jews Were ‘Like Nazis’

Monday, April 29th, 2013

The British High Commissioner of Palestine viewed Jewish fighters there in the 1940s as analogous to Nazis, newly published records show.

On April 30, 1948, Alan Cunningham wrote to his superiors that as the Jews celebrated military successes, their “broadcasts, both in content and in manner of delivery, are remarkably like those of Nazi Germany.”

In another report, he said that the Jews were prepared for statehood and an “all-out offensive” with “all the equipment of a totalitarian regime.”

The reports were made public this week as part of a release of colonial administration records by the National Archives in London, the London Jewish Chronicle reported.

A week before the British departure from Mandate Palestine, the High Commissioner mistakenly believed that “all the ingredients of a successful truce were present,” the documents also showed. Cunningham wrote on April 30 that the Arabs’ “much vaunted liberation army” was “poorly equipped and badly led.”

He wrote, “In almost every engagement the Jews have proved their superiority in organization, training and tactics.”

With an Anti-Semitic Holland, Where Is It Safe for Jews?

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013

Originally published at Rubin Reports.

A few years ago in Amsterdam I was shown the most popular manual published in the Netherlands, in Dutch, on how to raise one’s children as proper Muslims. The book included virulently anti-Semitic passages, based on Muslim holy texts. After the Jewish community objected, the authorities forced the publisher to put white tape over the offending passages. The tape could easily be peeled off by purchases so that these words could be read.

Separately, consider what has just happened. A Turkish-Dutch researcher publicized a record of systematic anti-Semitism among other Muslims in the Netherlands, including a dramatic video that showed teenage boys calling for genocide and praising Hitler.

What happened? The researcher, Mehmet Sahin, had to go into hiding after being accused by others of being a Jew and a Zionist.

The growing anti-Semitism in Western Europe is like that. The European Union, governments, and the media paste a white tape over the problem to conceal it or pretend to do something about it. But when one peels back the tape the hatred is revealed as growing and being passed onto the next generation.

While one doesn’t want to exaggerate rising anti-Semitism in Europe – mostly from Muslim immigrants and their children but facilitated and even reflected by the increasingly intellectually hegemonic left – the growth of anti-Jewish hatred is enormous. Some people view this as fear-mongering, pointing to other developments that show the glass to be half full. Indeed, the hostility of European governments toward Israel has often been exaggerated. The situation is actually better than it was 20 or 30 years ago.

Yet the broader question is one of social trends and the behavior of institutions, especially the mass media and universities, which are generally becoming not just critical but viciously so of Israel and periodically Jews generally.

Take the Netherlands, a mild-mannered country that prides itself on moderation in all things. Traditionally, the Netherlands was friendly to Israel and while it has always had its anti-Semites and even, historically, fascists, it had far less proportionately than other European countries during the last half-century. In other words, if things are bad in the Netherlands, they’re really bad.

Last year, the chief rabbi of the Netherlands spoke in a published interview in which he spoke extensively about his love for the country, the good treatment of Jews there, and other such points. Asked at the end, however, whether there was any future for Jews in the country he said, “No,” and advised the community to move to Israel.

That doesn’t mean the Netherlands is a maelstrom of anti-Semitism. It isn’t. But there’s a growing anti-Semitic sector which consists of two parts: Muslim immigrants and their offspring, and the far left that is so often dominant in the Netherlands –as in other Western countries.

The Dutch government, unlike others in Europe, has defined Hezbollah as a terrorist group and while less favorable to Israel than its predecessor remains on good terms with Israel. Yet shocking slanders appear about Israel in the mainstream Dutch media.

To cite just one example, on March 17, 2010, NRC Handelsblad, Holland’s most prestigious newspaper, published a front-page article claiming the “Israel lobby” was threatening to defeat President Barack Obama’s health plan to blackmail him regarding his Israel policy. While statements on other matters by Israel’s government are evaluated in a cynical way, the basis for this story was a single left-wing blogger.

An observer who wants to avoid exaggerating the problem warns about: “A rising tide of anti-Semitism that the top level is unwilling to address out of a fear of being labeled a racist or out of a fear of losing the all-important Muslim vote,” which is vital for the Left in elections. There is no effective opposition in the political sphere. The center dithers; some on the right speak out but do nothing effective.

A Dutch person involved in inter-communal work adds: “I know many upstanding young Muslims who are as appalled by anti-Semitism,” and these voices should not be forgotten. It should also be remembered that there have been attacks on mosques over the years. In contrast, though, a moderate left politician described in great detail how her family was forced to leave their neighborhood by verbal and at times violent harassment by Muslim youths there.
