Melanie Phillips: Israeli ‘Hasbara’ a Joke

Melanie Phillips

British journalist, author, publisher, and prominent right-wing voice Melanie Phillips is being interviewed on Israel’s Channel 1 TV. The Hebrew intro stops at .45 seconds into the clip.

This is the quintessential Melanie Phillips on Israel and its treatment by the European intelligentsia.

Phillips is Jewish, her family came to Britain from Poland and Russia. She’s definitely one of us, although, my God, would it hurt you to crack a smile now and then?

Anyway, it’s refreshing to hear an outsider describe the mad Israeli left as mad. That part is fun.

Conveniently enough, some Arabs were busy filming their fellow Arabs throwing stones at passing Israeli cars in Hebron, as other Arabs stood nearby (initially) unperturbed by the fact that right next to them, their fellow Arabs were attacking Jewish drivers on the road. What the Arabs were not expecting, was that the justifiably enraged Jews […]
