America is Israel’s closest ally, but up to a point. Had America armed Israel in 1948, Israel would have had the military capability to capture three vital territories: the Golan, with its strategic heights, source of life-giving water, and beautiful terrain; East Jerusalem, the capital of Eretz Yisrael; and Judea and Samaria, the cradle of Jewish civilization. They would have formed an integral Israel. Israel would then have had the Jordan River as its natural, straight border. Israel would also have driven out the enemy as other countries do in wars of independence.

Today, although Israel won the territories in a just, defensive war, America refuses to accept Israel’s acquisitions, even the sparsely populated Golan, which was awarded to Syria by the arbitrary power of French imperialists. The world, even the U.S., prefers to have a Jewish state as a tiny, dismembered body of land with a shrunken waist.

Golan Hypocrisy (II)

The hypocrites of the world fail to recognize that in war “the spoils go to the victor.” That’s how our world has evolved – whether one likes it or not.

Israel gained the Golan Heights when it won the Six-Day War initiated by Syria and other Arab countries in 1967. It is vital as far as Israel’s security is concerned. Israeli leaders would be foolish to return it to Syria. And no group or country has the right to expect or demand otherwise.
