At the time of the chase, the terrorist was chasing after another victim, this time to stab him with a screwdriver.
Just previous to that, the terrorist had thrown the chemicals on the family in a car.
The mother and her 3 daughters are being treated at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
(Updated) Another man, who was hitchhiking, had liquid chemicals thrown at his face, and is being treated at Hadassah Ein Karem.
2:07 PM UPDATE: The male victim has been downgraded to lightly injured. Four, not three children were injured.

At 1:35 PM MDA received an emergency call that 4 children were injured after having a chemical thrown at them near the Husan / El Hadr traffic light (between Beitar and near the Gush Etzion tunnels).
At the scene MDA treated a man in his 40’s and three children ages 8 to 10.
IDF reports that a Palestinian Authority terrorist attacked the family.
The man had the chemical/acid thrown at his eyes and face, and is in moderate condition. The children were hit in the lower extremities are are lightly injured.
IDF soldiers shot the attacker, and he is in serious condition.
