The IDF and Shabak began an intelligence operation to identify and capture the terrorists, and discovered that the cell had split up and was hiding in a number of villages. Troops were sent into Kafr Ramon, Deheishe and Elazah, and arrested the five-member terror cell and also confiscated their vehicles.

The terrorists confessed to the attacks.
