Shai is now married, the proud father of four. He named his youngest son Yoni, in memory of Yoni Netanyahu, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s brother who was killed while commanding the IDF rescue team at the Entebbe raid.
Shai was awarded with the Shalva Spirit of Hope award in recognition of how he had met his personal challenges and used that experience to help others.
