As the committee members embark on their important task of reviewing all the information presented to them, including the information AMCHA and the students provided, we hope that they will make the issue of antisemitism at California colleges and universities part of their agenda to ensure California’s campuses are safe and welcoming environments for Jewish students.

About the Author: The AMCHA Initiative was founded by University of California faculty, Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, Lecturer in Hebrew and Jewish Studies at University of California Santa Cruz, and Leila Beckwith, Professor Emeritus in Pediatrics at University of California Los Angeles. For more than 8 years, both women have been involved in academic and advocacy efforts to combat the rise of campus antisemitism. They have written articles and lectured in the U.S., Canada, and Israel about academic anti-Zionism and antisemitism.

  1. Ruth Hirt says:

This searing hate emanates from the pit of the damned, where obversion and perversion dwell, of and by the diabolic feeding the corruption of those who opt to be by his side.

  2. Best thing is to simply show they really want to kill Jewish people. The murderous pigs really hate that.

Jewish students testified at a California government hearing about anti-Semitism on campuses.

UC President Mark Yudof

Last week, two shameful events occurred on University of California campuses that made Jewish students feel targeted, intimidated, harassed, and unsafe. We charge the UC administration with failing in their basic responsibilities – to protect Jewish students from a hostile environment and to ensure their rights to freedom of speech.
