MK to be Moshe Feiglin, who made the number 14 spot on the Likud Knesset list, on Monday morning managed to surprise many yet again when he showed up on Temple Mount with a minyan and conducted a prayer service.

For years, Israeli governments, police and, naturally, the Arab Waqf, have been preventing Jews visiting Temple Mount, warning that such an attempt on the part of Jews to connect with their father in Heaven would surely start never-before-seen riots that would sweep the Middle east in rivers of blood.

Nevertheless, despite those apocalyptic warnings, there are no actual laws on the books explicitly prohibiting prayer – because that would be a blatant violation of several Geneva conventions and UN human rights declarations, to say the least. And so the prohibitions against Jews praying at the site of our forefathers’ Temple hide behind ordinances against disorderly conduct, with the cops on the spot empowered to interpret the rules as they see fit.

On Monday morning, as documented by the Channel 10 News camera, Feiglin davened with a minyan on Temple Mount and the world did not erupt in flames. Even the Muslims preferred to keep mum about it.

Feiglin’s statement regarding the event was posted on his Facebook page after his primary election a week ago: “This is just the beginning, until we arrive at building the Temple on top of Temple Mount, and accomplish our goals in this land.”

Looking forward to joining him next time!

  1. I hope he was praying for a just peace. And if so, I hope his prayers are answered.

  2. This Jew gets it big time. G-d bless Moshe Feiglin.

  3. As the UN General Assembly has decided that the Temple Mount and the Western Wall are part of Palestine, is it the business of Israel police to keep Jews from praying there?

I used to think that it would hurt Israel, but will this change those who we need for support? I don't know.

  4. While I'm no big fan of Feiglin, I hope he goes to daven every week, he is one of the few of our spineless politicians to do the right thing. I'm not religious but it's shameful that our police prevent Jews from praying on the Temple Mt.

  5. Here is my list of book suggestions starting with The Haj by Leon Uris. It just blows me away that Israel hasn't kicked the A-Rabs off of the Temple Mount. I started out having respect for Muslims in the spirit of people like Ustadh Taha. I use to spread his name around and call him the Mahatma Ghandi of Islam. But the more I became aquainted with the Muslim character, the more I read, the more fed up with them I became until I have absolutely no patience with them at all. ALL I see is the Jew Hatred on the part of these MSA and "Boycott" groups. I see nothing coming out of mosques that is in the spirit of Taha who died preaching a softer message of Islam. His death diabolically plotted by the Muslim Brotherhood. The same Brotherhood The Cairo Kid has embraced and allowed to infiltrate every level of government. The tragedy is this has been going on for years to the point that it's actually "fashionable" to promote anti-Israel ideology on just about every campus and university in America. The language is so eerily similar to that just prior to the Pograms in Germany is scary. It just depressed the shit out of me to see how blatant and out in the open it all is. The whole attitude in America is just sick. We've had this kid "shot because he was playing loud music" according to the media and everybody else you listen to. What they're not saying is this was just one of the millions of rude inconsiderate assholes who have no problem plagueing our communities with noise so loud its literally a physical assault. Audio Terrorism by thugs who actually believe they have a "right" to dissoriant you and even cause your ears to bleed. They've actually come out on these "Justice for Jordan" sites and said exactly that. And it's reached epedimic proportions. Sorry to get off but like this public Jew Hating the rude behaviour is a symptom of the disease that is the decline of our society. It's funny, I read a lot of history. I'm looking at Gibbons Decline and Fall and Ammianus Marcellinus up on my shelf and its all tragically familiar. And I don't know whether to laugh or cry because when I get a reality check like I did when I opened my Bible the other day; according to scripture……we're right on schedule.

The first article in quite a while that felt like a kick in the pants strong enough to get my feet moving!

  8. It's about time that we allow ourselves the privilege of praying on our Holy Temple Mount in accordance with Halacha. This has been a travesty ever since Moshe Dayan's legacy in 1967 of "returning the keys" to the Har Habayit to the Arabs (Waqf) after the miraculous victory that Hashem presented us with at that time! Kol Hakavod to Moshe Feiglin and to those brave Jews who accompanied him to "open the Gates" to our prayers from the holiest site to the Jewish people (Har Habayit). The Kotel Ha'Maaravi, as Holy as it is, is NOT the holiest site that we have, but it is the Har Habayit where Jews continued to pray for centuries even after the Churban.

what a racist thing to do. what an ignorant idiot.

  10. hope his prayers start the elusive peace!

  11. LOL…. the style of JP "journalists" is about as subtle and objective as cross burning a African-American family's lawn: " warning that such an attempt on the part of Jews to connect with their father in Heaven would surely start never-before-seen riots that would sweep the Middle east in rivers of blood." Do you think "OUR" father in heaven has any interest in peace? Does OUR father in heaven care about Arabs/Muslims? Or is OUR father in heaven as bigoted, narrow minded and simple as the people who read and write this rag?
