The Shomron Council awarded Yariv Oppenheimer, head of “Peace Now “, with a certificate of honorary citizenship in the Shomron.
The award was given in recognition of his actions that inadvertently resulted in three settlements and outposts becoming officially recognized thus permitting them to expand as per the decision of the Supreme Court – after as much as 30 years of waiting.
The three settlements are Kiryat Netafim, Bruchin and Rechalim.
The Shomron Council also thanked Peace Now and Oppenheimer for the wonderful work they’ve done letting the average Israel know how well the settlements are doing, as well as tracking settlement growth for posterity, all at the EU’s expense.
Copies of the Honorary certificate have been sent to Oppenheimer as well to the Embassies of the EU countries that help financially support Peace Now and other Left-wing activist groups.
The honorary certificate also has value. Oppenheimer can now get discounts at the restaurant and fitness club in the Ariel Cultural Center, as well as for membership in the Shomron Libraries.
