The Big Visit

Choose a Logo for ‘Operation Unbreakable Alliance’

Israel is making sure the favorite Americana politicians’ phrase of an “unbreakable alliance” with Israel will not be lost on visiting President Barack Obama next month.

The American and Israeli governments are beating the drum for President Barack Obama’s visit next month, which has officially been called “Operation Unbreakable Alliance.”

The office of the Prime Minister on Sunday now is asking people to choose one of three suggested logos to accompany the name.

One logo shows the Star of David, with half of the stars in red and the other in blue. A second depicts a flag, half of it American and the other half Israel, and the third combines the Star of David with the American flag.

Hundreds of journalists from around the world are expected to come to Israel; a press center will be opened for them in Jerusalem. During the visit, emphasis will be placed on the use of social media and the involvement of the public.

  1. Etamar Laron says:

Neither are good imho. You may want something that means "alliance" not "both are the same" or "the flip side of the other"… connection between the flags, not the other side of another!

  2. You've got to be kidding me! If anything we need to be showing how vast the differences are over Israel's continuous Illegal settlement expansion program and all that goes with it. If Many of us in the US had our way, Obama would announce an end to aide until the settlement building stops and an end to blind backing in the form of VETO's that effectively give approval of the Israeli Apartheid state against the rights of Palestinians.

And save your ink! Criticizing obvious wrongs is not anti Semitic. There's a Chasm between the Average American and Israel's actions, its our bought off politicians seeking Aipac and associates influence and money that makes it appear there's no 'light between us', this relationship goes against even George Washingtons advice against favoring other nations and taking on their interests and enemies.

  3. Emily Dale says:

It's one thing to be nice to Israel and Netanyahu, but another to equate the two nations. All three are absurd.
