Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was to undergo a medical procedure Thursday evening (May 25) under sedation to shatter a stone in his urinary bladder.

The prime minister’s personal physician, Dr. Tzvi Berkovich attended the procedure.

During the time the prime minister was under sedation, Likud Minister Ze’ev Elkin served as Acting Prime Minister.
