The terrorist’s identity was reported earlier as Muhammad Siddiqui. He had claimed to be the brother of a convicted Muslim terrorist serving an 86-year sentence in a Texas prison. That claim was later debunked when an attorney for the incarcerated terrorist’s real brother set the record straight.

The FBI’s Evidence Response Team (ERT) said it would continue processing evidence at the synagogue.

“At this time, there is no indication that other individuals are involved. The FBI’s North Texas Joint Terrorism Task Force (NTJTTF), which includes member agencies from across the region, will continue to follow investigative leads,” the FBI said in a statement.

“An FBI Shooting Incident Review Team (SIRT) will conduct a thorough, factual, and objective investigation of the events.”
