The United States has indirectly informed Iran, via two European nations, that it would not back an Israeli strike against the country’s nuclear facilities, as long as Tehran refrains from attacking American interests in the Persian Gulf, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.
According to the report, Washington used covert back-channels in Europe to clarify that the US does not intend to back Israel in a strike that may spark a regional conflict.
In return, Washington reportedly expects Iran to steer clear of strategic American assets in the Persian Gulf, such as military bases and aircraft carriers.
In “liberal-speak”, pundits say that countries don’t have allies, they have interests. That’s incorrect; political leaders have interests…countries still have allies.
I hope that other representatives of the USA will stand with Israel, since it appears the current President would rather throw Israel under the bus…”Hey Iran, stay clear of us, and you can bomb Israel as much as you want.”

I am an American and we do support you unfortunately the people in office run the non sence
It is not America, it is President Obama and his socialist democrat party.
Israel has been friend and allie, only the Jewish community in the North East part of America and most elsewhere always support the Democrat Party and don't really understand what they are like. I compare the American Democrat Party to Hitler and his election machine all they do is lie. The American Democrat Party tell half truths and even the Torah says that those are lies, but the Jewish voters keep on voting for the Democrats. What is it going to take for the Jewish people in America to wake up and see what is really happening.
This President of ours, Obama, does nothing but lie. He has spent 6 Trillion Dollars and the only good it has done it line his pockets and the pockets of his friends. We are so far in debt to China we may never get out, and he throws Israel under the bus and yet the Jewish voters will try to re-elect him.
We American Jews are voting Democratic because we know that the Republican economic policies will be disastrous for America (as they were in 2008), and because the Republican Presidential candidate has absolutely no foreign policy experience at all.
I am sorry that you feel this way, the economic policies of Obama last four years are better than the Republicans. I saw my country spend from 9 Trillion dollars to 16 Trillion Dollars in just 4 years yet our unemployment is the highest yet. The American people lost homes(foreclosures and short sales) more than any other times in American history. Yet you feel the Democrat policies are the best. I wonder what it would take for you to realize where the problem is. The Democrat Party controlled the House and Senate and the White House for the first 2 years of Obama's Term. They spent money like it was water and it was unlimited, they borrowed it from China at a rate greater than ever before and now truthfully have nothing to show for it except a lot of debt.
I would like for you to explain to me how we are better off with the Democrats in power.
I hope that Prime Minister Netanyahu realises that so very many of us Americans love Israel and thier people. We citizens cannot make the decision to help Israel to defend herself. It's our government and our Demon-cratic /Socialist /Muslim president who is opposed to helping. May God forgive America. I don't think He will though. Israel is in my constant prayers.
I expect that till the election is over, Obama is going to stay out of this. After the election win or loose I am afraid he is going to side with Iran.
