Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, is being used as the primary figure to promote the 2014 International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem (ICEJ) Christian Feast of the Tabernacles.  JewishIsrael has posted the one minute promo video.

While Rabbi Riskin speaks of the universal message of Isaiah, ICEJ’s Feast homepage banner and text as well as the explanation of this year’s theme, “Aim for Restoration”, is hardly universal. Rather, it is an exclusive message, heavily focused on jesus, christian scripture and church history.

This is not the first time Rabbi Riskin has been featured in a video presentation which has raised eyebrows and caused controversy…more

[JewishIsrael has sent this report to Rabbi Riskin with the hope that he will once again try and clarify his position and consider asking the ICEJ to remove the promotion, which appears to give Rabbi Riskin’s sanction to the worship of Jesus in Jerusalem.]

Update on the Jesus statue project for Mount Precipice in Nazareth

JewishIsrael has posted an official written response from the Tourism Ministry denying Minister Uzi Landau’s endorsement of such a project.

  1. We worship the same Messiah! Halleluja!

  2. Considering that Zechariah 14 prophesies that ALL nations from ALL the world will come up to Yerushalayim to celebrate Sukkot with Messiah, what this rabbi doing is totally scriptural for a Jewish religious leader. Plus it promotes a love for Israel among Christians, which translates into economic power (tourism) and political favor with nations containing a lot of Bible-believing folks. After all, many Israeli political leaders have spoken at the Feast by these Christian tourists. Why should Rabbi Riskin be criticized?

  3. Janet Warne says:

If only we could be grafted together peacefully. Gentiles accepting the Jewish Scriptures, believing in Jewish Messiah. It was unfortunate indeed that we were called Christians by the people in Antioch. If only the original had been kept – people of The Way / disciples of Messiah. Never intended to replace the Chosen People of YHWH. The Jews will always remain His Chosen People- chosen to take His kingdom into all the earth, and bring about worship of G-d.

  4. Please? No more of this??? But then again: sign of the times folks…

  5. he’s a wishy washy dude.whenever i see an article by him i’m careful…not to read it.

  6. We have the same GOD!!!!

  7. Jack Zeller says:

Why not promote Christians to come to Israel for celebrations. We are not at war with Christians. Get real: Christian zionists are more numerous and devoted than you guess who. If you fear weak knee Judaism don't blame the Chrisitians

  8. Because their religion is idolatrous and promoting idolatry in the land of Israel is a sure way to get kicked out! (So says our Torah) You see any connection between this activity and the current push to take away our heartland?

  9. You will never find a genuine Christian that does not know the Jews are the chosen people of God and that Israel will never be taken from them again. Why must you hate us when we are simply doing what God has commanded us to do? We love Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem (and we don't see that including a divided Jerusalem nor Israel trading land for peace). We are well aware that our Messiah is Jewish.
