A Swiss activist with the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) movement has been deported from Israel for the first time, according to Channel 2 News.

Rita Faye has visited the Jewish State a number of times in the past, and is known for her harassment of IDF soldiers at Palestinian Authority crossing checkpoints around Jericho.

She is a member of a Christian organization that supports the BDS movement and has recorded the activities of the soldiers she has tracked, and then sent the information abroad, according to the report.

Upon her arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport on Tuesday, she was taken for questioning by security personnel.

Faye was put back on a plane with a deportation issued by Interior Minister Arye Deri at the request of the IDF when it was discovered she was headed to Israel.

  1. For those who worry that BDS may be having an impact, an examination of foreign capital flow into Israel shows the opposite trend — a steep increase. Foreign investments in Israeli assets hit a record high last year of $285.12 billion, a near-tripling from 2005 when the so-called Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement was started by a group of Palestinians.

  2. Deporting back to her place of origin is not the solution. She should have been sent to Damascus or Kabul, so that she can learn first hand what is really discrimination and lack of human rights. As a Christian woman, she should feel like at home among the ISIS men.

  3. Wow is that a first for Israel? Actually deporting an anti Israel activisit. That's what I call good news and hopefully only the first of many, in fact every single one of them that either try to get in or are already here. If we could only make the decision to rid this Land of its enemies whoever and wherever they are, what a lovely life we could have. We could build our Land and live as Hashem intended when he returned us after thousands of years. That is of course once we had the proper faith based and courageous government in power !!!!

  4. SEE? It's not difficult Mr Obama, Mrs Clinton, you just don't let in anything or anybody that you know is trying to harm you, or those that you care about. Israel knows how to do this, they actually CARE about their country and their people, and are willing and able to do whatever it takes to protect them. So, with regard to Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton, I can only assume that they do NOT care about the American people, and are, in fact, UNWILLING to do what it takes to protect them.

  5. Charlie Hall , who is "we" professor? It seems doubtful that you are an Israeli, considering the manner in which you identify yourself, so I'll just have to assume that you're another liberal, biased college hack that doesn't even understand or appreciate the idea of imparting knowledge to others, as your position suggests. Here's what I KNOW, which is from learning through the attainment of information through something other than CNN, and THAT is that both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have been well-established, and on record, as liars and deceivers to the American people, and indeed, the entire world. They have violated, without consequence, the trust and confidence of the American people, and do NOT deserve to be, nor qualified to be in ANY position of responsibility that is tasked with the defense and protection of this country. They have essentially FAILED the United States and the American people.

  6. This is a very ominous sign. If Israel starts deporting visitors because the government doesn't like their support for human rights, where will it all end? Will only bona fide racists be allowed to visit Israel? Will all visitors be required to sign an oath in support of apartheid and ethnic cleansing?

  7. Kudos to the security personnel at Ben Gurion! And this woman “member of a Christian Organization” must be one of the so-called “Christians” involved in BDS, replacement theology, anti-Zionist cults that claim the name Christian but would never be recognized by the Jewish Messiah. These fake churches make “people more fit for hell than they are themselves,” to quote that same Yeshua. A pox on them.

  8. The aim of the BDS movement is not to disrupt trade per say. If it was they would have given up by now. Their aim is the delegitimisation of the Jewish State. This movement has credibility amongst young people and in particular on University campuses where it feeds into a left wing narrative. These young people are the future leaders of their countries. BDS must continue to be fought in the most robust way possible to counteract this sinister aim.

  9. Not only should she be deported but any and all BDS haters should have their photos and bios published for all to see around the world. Then, let them get a job with a worthwhile employer. Hit them in the pocket book and in their hopes for a professional life.
