Petach Tikva stabbing scene July 24, 2017

An Israeli Arab was stabbed three times, twice in the neck and once in the back by an Arab assailant, 21, from Qalqilya in Samaria. The attack took place in Petach Tikva at 11:43 AM, at a shawarma restaurant near the central bus station.

The attacker spent time in prison in 2015-2016. He was caught and subdued by local civilians. According to reports, one civilian, owner of a pizzeria, drove a wooden pizza tray into the terrorist, and then others grabbed and held him until police arrived.

Medical personnel are treating the 40-year-old wounded Israeli Arab victim, a bus driver from the town of Arara in lower Galilee. He is conscious and listed in moderate condition. Police have declared it a terror attack.
