For the third time this month of Ramadan, Muslims visiting the Tomb of Patriarchs in Hebron have desecrated Jewish religious objects at the site, tearing the Mezuzahs off the doorposts and stealing them. They took advantage of the special visiting privileges the Muslims receive from the IDF during the month of Ramadan, during which, on Fridays and a few special days, the Tomb of Patriarchs is open only to Muslims.

Local police announced they have arrested two Palestinians in connection with the vandalism, but are still searching for the thieves. The act was recorded by surveillance cameras. A member of the Waqf was nearby during the act of vandalism.

In response to the repeated attacks, the site management has decided to limit the access of Palestinians. Muslims aged 18 – 35 will not be permitted in on the special days allocated to Muslims only. Further actions are being considered to prevent these attacks in the future.

Following the previous attack, Member of Knesset Orit Struk, a resident of Hebron, told Tazpit News Agency: “The Arabs used the opportunity they had on Friday to desecrate the Mezuzot. We cannot be silent about this incident. During the 700 years of Muslim occupation, the Tomb of the Patriarchs was completely closed to Jews. Today, when the State of Israel is considerate of Muslim holidays and permits them full use of the site – they exploit it to harm Jewish symbols. I expect the Muslim leaders in Hebron and Israel to apologize to the Jewish People and condemn this heinous episode.”

It just goes to show all of us that these ANIMALS must be done away with. Israel should not give in one inch of territory to these moooolims. KAHANE was RIGHT.

  2. I agree with you. If we touch their holly Coran they riot etc. just forbid them to go there. period.

    Don't hold your breath

  4. Lee Pagnini says:

The Talmud tells men that "everyday they should thank G-d, that they are not a dog"; with this type of behavior at the Tomb of the Patriarchs, I now realize what that means.

  5. Tim Upham says:

Why are they desecrating it, when those patriarch are revered in Islam too?

  6. Jewish leaders in Hebron must continue to try to have a better relationship with Muslim leaders and authorities there.

If the current negotiations produce a treaty, Hebron will not be part of Israel.

Abbas wants no Jews in Hebron, and the Hebron Muslim community most likely.
    agrees.

A plan B to allow some Jews in Hebron and at he Tomb necessitate better dialogue.

  7. Tim Upham says:

And Abraham grew old and came along in days, and God had blessed Abraham with everything. Genesis 24:1.

Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all the children of Abraham, would it not be fitting to the memory of Abraham, if all of his children can respect each other, and live together.

  8. Sounds nice, won't happen as long as we're dealing with people with a 10th Century mindset.

  9. Tim Upham says:

Suzy Lenkowsky Krikorian You or them? Have that bad attitude, and that will always prevent peace and coexistence.

  10. Yechiel Baum says:

Since they do not know to behave at a Jewish shrine, they should be barred from it and have them visit churches and the Vatican instead and let them deal with such irreligious behavior of desecration of holy places since they obviously are heathens without any religious belief other than sex with virgins. Cant Arab women sexually satisfy their men?

  13. Nice thought, Tim. Do you have one of those coexist bumper stickers on your Prius? I am getting one for myself and will affix same after removing the c and o. I like to live in the real world.

  14. Israel is too soft on the punishment for such act.Bring down yhe full brunt of the law and throw them in prison for at least seven years so others will take heed. The prisoners the Nethanyahu Government want to free will do much worse and wont stop wanting to kill Jews and will be eve more Zealous wanting to do so.
This is the height of stupidity to release them just to talk.It should have nothing to do with peace talks as a condition.Even this apology to Turkey. Why? What else will they ask next. The Government should look to former Prime Minister Begin as their example. There should be one Israel.Am Yisrael Chai.

  15. Tim Upham says:

Yeshaya Bellovin I do not need bumper stickers. I get it all out of the Tanakh.

  16. AC Stubbs says:

Suzy Lenkowsky Krikorian Excellent post. Tim U is an anti-Zionist who will always side with Muslims over Jews

  17. Tim Upham says:

AC Stubbs Maybe I want the Jews to coexist with the Muslims. So that is considered hate? Hate was never mentioned in Theodor Herzl's "Der Judenstaat." So what is your reason for espousing it. Because Zionism was never based on it.

  18. Israel please get tough, there are many thousands behind you, Israel you must start stealing the limelight from the Arabs, they have been given too much rope, now time to hang them from the rope. If we or Israeli citizens damaged Al Aqsa there would be intnl coverage.
