Sheikh Yusuf Abu Gamah, head of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, was arrested late Sunday for inciting violence and illegal solicitation.

Gamah, who is based in the southern Bedouin city of Rahat, and who heads the Rahat branch of the organization as well, was taken into custody by Southern District police.

Government sources have said it is believed the Islamic Movement in Israel has been the source of much of the incitement behind the current wave of terror in Israel and the escalating pile of lies broadcast to Arab worshipers and violence caused as a result at the Temple Mount. Gama is expected to be held in remand without bail, according to the police spokesperson’s unit.
