Hamas Attacks Sderot with Missile to Mark Holocaust Day

Sunday, April 7th, 2013

Gaza terrorists chose Holocaust Memorial Day to attack southern Israel with a missile that underlined President Shimon Peres’ message on Holocaust Memorial Day that “the journey for justice and freedom is not yet over.”

The rocket exploded in an open area, causing no injuries but interrupting a Holocaust Day ceremony as people scurried to a security shelter. The ceremony continued shortly afterwards.

Residents and police have not yet determined if the explosion cause property damage.

Israel responded “proportionately” last week to two rocket attacks on open areas in Sderot and the surrounding Sha’ar HaNegev region last week. The IDF bombed two terror sites without injuring anyone.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon last week repeated a years-long litany of threats that Israel will not remain silent in the face of rocket attacks.

Judging by last week’s response, Israel has not changed its policy not to upset the international community with “disproportionate” retaliation and instead continues to play Russian Roulette and wait for a Kassam missile, which has no guidance system, to fall in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Peres: Holocaust ‘Cries from the Prayer Shawls’

Sunday, April 7th, 2013

The Holocaust “cries from the prayer shawls the hair, the shoes that we see with our own eyes, resonates as we step on the stones of the ghettos, [and] it floats like a ghost in the barracks of the camp, President Shimon Peres said at the beginning of Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day Sunday night.

“The noise of those murderous trains which have ceased stills rings in our ears, said the president in the presence of IDF officers, Knesset Members, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, the Quartet’s Middle East envoy Tony Blair and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, John Baird,

“The Holocaust will not sink into the dark hole of history. It is here with us, burning, real,” President Peres continued.

“Nothing can remove the greatest darkness that mankind has known The 74 years which have passed are more biography than history. Millions of names are still missing, of parents and children, of whole Jewish communities who were murdered….

The Jewish people are a small nation in number but large in spirit. That spirit cannot be burned in the ovens. From the ashes of the Holocaust rose spiritual redemption and political rebirth. We rose and we built a state of our own….

“The Holocaust is an orphan with no comfort and a moral responsibility without compromise.

“Not all the flames have been extinguished. Crises are once again exploited to form Nazi parties, ridiculous but dangerous. Sickening anti-Semitic cartoons are published allegedly in the name of press freedom.”

Stephen Hawking to Visit Israel for Conference with Peres

Thursday, April 4th, 2013

British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking will visit Israel in June to participate in President Shimon Peres’ annual “Facing Tomorrow” conference.

Hawking, head of the practical mathematics and physics department at Cambridge University, last visited Israel in 2006 at the invitation of the British Embassy.

The conference, which is in its fifth year, gathers world leaders and intellectuals for public discussions on a variety of subjects.

Hawking, who has ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, cannot move his body and uses a wheelchair. He communicates through a computerized voice system.

Obama’s Shape-Shifting Alien Spotted at AIPAC Convention (Video)

Wednesday, March 27th, 2013

You think we’re making this up? Well, somebody made this up, but not us. Somebody got a hold of the video of President Obama’s March 4 speech to the “Zionist cabal,” also known as AIPAC, and noticed – how could they not – that one of President Obama’s shape-shifting body guards, a lizard-humanoid, let go of his human shape for a brief moment, exposing to the world his truly hideous alien form.

We repeat: the alleged shape-shifter is not Israeli President Shimon Peres, sitting up front, but some unnamed White House body guard from a neighboring planet. We’re not saying President Peres is or is not a shape-shifter, only that he isn’t shifting in this well documented scene.

The text-to-speech program narrator tells you all about it with the certainty of a GPS program plowing away minutes after your car has gone into the lake.

The bald-headed secret service agent acts strangely, looking to his right and to his left incessantly and almost mechanically, then totally shape-shifts into a reptile. Or not. How many shape-shifters have you seen to compare with this one?

The video was shot by JN1, a Jewish news service, which probably hadn’t been told by the Jewish cabal to keep their lenses off the alien shape-shifters.

Anyway, the video has gone seriously viral, with close to 3 million views. I believe this week humanity has gone just a little more stupid, possibly because we’re all oxygen deprived.

Peres Thumps the Bible for Obama

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

President Shimon Peres put an emphasis on the Bible and its importance to the United States as well as Israel in his welcoming speech to President Barack Obama at Ben Gurion Airport shortly after noon Israeli time Wednesday.

“In a few minutes, you will be on your way to Jerusalem. Our ancient capital. The cradle of all believers, of all prayers,” President Peres said. “You will see the hills and mountains where our prophets preached. Where the soul of the Jewish People was born. Where the State of Israel was created.

“America and Israel are somewhat different in size. In size, not in destiny. The American dream stems from the Bible….

“America stood by our side from the very beginning. You supported us as we rebuilt our ancient homeland. As we defended our land. From Holocaust to redemption. From Truman to Obama.

Mr. President, Wherever you go in our land, you will meet the friendship and warmth of the people of Israel. The people of Israel want you to feel at home. Welcome home Mr. President.”

Netanyahu Tells Israeli President: ‘I Put Together a Government’

Saturday, March 16th, 2013

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arrived on Saturday night at the presidential residence in Jerusalem, to officially inform President Shimon Peres and acting Knesset Speaker Benjamin Ben-Eliezer that he had succeeded in forming a government.

“As you know I was able to form a government,” Netanyahu to Peres at the beginning of their meeting. “You handed me this assignment and I carried it out.”

Netanyahu added: “We are facing a critical year in defense, economics and the peace efforts, and in the desire of the citizens of Israel to bring about change. There’s cooperation in this Government, and I believe that we can bring a new message in all the areas for all the citizens of Israel, this is my assignment and I know that this is your prayer as well.”

The president thanked the prime minister for his statement and said: “I witnessed the labor pains in the process of forming this government on time, and I congratulate you for succeeding to form the government in a timely fashion. The task of forming a government is complex and it required tremendous efforts and resourcefulness. I congratulate you and the new government and hope that you will get on your way.”

The president also noted: “As you mentioned, there are outstanding issues, but those are full of opportunities in the areas of defense, the social welfare and peace making – advancing the peace process. The country needs it and the people need it, the time has come.

“I give you my blessing, and we will gladly follow, after the establishment of the government, the issues you’ve mentioned. Yishar ko’ach, and my blessings are with you and the new government.”

The prime minister replied: “I thank you, and we would like to use your experience and your intelligence.”

Obama to Dine with Miss Israel

Wednesday, March 13th, 2013

Ethiopian-born Miss Israel, who was crowned only two weeks ago, will dine with President Barack Obama at President Shimon Peres’ official residence next week, Army Radio reported Wednesday.

Obama’s staff invited Miss Israel, otherwise known as Yityish Aynaw, who also was an officer in the IDF.

The appearance of a black Jewess, from Africa no less, dining with the first black American president, who has roots in Kenya, is a PR dream for Israel, which finally will get enthusiastically positive media coverage.

Aynaw will also have plenty of good copy for the herds of journalists who will be covering President Obama’s three-day visit.

Her relatives in Israel brought her from Ethiopia when she was 12 years old.

The Ethiopian community has suffered prejudice in Israel, particularly but not only from Russian Jews, whose culture and tradition are the antithesis of that of Ethiopians.

Like many Ethiopians, whose Jewish beliefs are deep-rooted, she was told that milk comes out of faucets and gold coins are in the streets of Israel.

After being named Miss Israel at the age of 21, she said that Martin Luther King Jr. was one of her heroes because “he fought for justice and equality, and… I want to show that my community has many beautiful qualities that aren’t always represented in the media.”

Correct politics probably had a part in her winning the beauty competition. Former Miss Israel winners have included a Russian immigrant and an Arab. Pageant director Iris Cohen told the Tablet, “I think she was not the most beautiful, by classic beauty, [but] she stands on the stage and you cannot ignore her.”

Now decked out in dresses far more fancy than the ones she sold in a store, she speaks her mind.

Unlike previous foreign-born pageant winners and many new immigrants from Ethiopia who adopted Hebrew names, she told Tablet, “I was born sick, but my mom believed I had a future,” and she explained that Yityish is Amharic for “look,” or as Aynaw explains, “looking toward the future.”

“I’d never change my name,” said Aynaw. “Ever.”

Peres Tells EU Parliament, ‘Europe Has Divorced Its Past’

Tuesday, March 12th, 2013

President Shimon Peres told the European Union Parliament Tuesday, “In the past thousand years, more Jews lived in Europe than in any other continent.  Alas, more Jews were murdered in Europe in the last hundred years than in the preceding two thousand years.”

The first Israeli president to address the current arrangement of the EU Parliament, he recalled his childhood in Europe, where his family escaped in 1934 while “in 1942, most of the inhabitants of my town were burned alive.”

He extolled  the accomplishments of Israel, from making the desert bloom to Israel’s becoming a  ”start-up nation.”

President Peres praised Europe for  having “divorced its past” and for having  “converted the divided Europe of the last thousand years, to the united Europe of today. “

“For us, the Europe of the Shoah is becoming a Europe supporting our renaissance,” he added.

He thanked Europe for its close ties with Israel and pleaded with the Parliament to declare Hizbullah a terrorist organization.

“Today, Hizbullah, supported by Iran, is destroying Lebanon. Hizbullah is a terror organization. Not a political movement,” he stated. “They collect missiles. They are trigger-happy. They hide missiles in peaceful towns and villages. By doing so, they turn them into a war target. Hizbullah divided Lebanon politically, religiously and ethnically. It turned the land of the cedar tree into a scorched and barren land.”

The President also said that Iran not only denies the Holocaust but also calls for a Holocaust. “A nuclear bomb in the hands of an irresponsible regime is an imminent danger to the world,” he said.

He repeated his dream of peace between the Palestinian Authority and Israel but pointed out that the PA used Israel’s withdrawal of Jews and the IDF from Gaza to create a terrorist base instead of building peace.
