Point # 10- Medad references my statement: “Righteous gentiles who want to assist the nation of Israel may have opportunities to do so, but it must always be in accordance with Jewish law. This is where proper poskim need to come into the equation, since it is purely an halachic matter. But those who are evangelical cannot have any foothold in the country!”

Medad’s Response: Medad rejects the notion that Hayovel volunteers are mingling and spending considerable time in the vineyards. The problem is that videos of Hayovel feature multiple scenarios of interactions between “The Harvesters” and Jews. There are videos of people dancing, talking in the fields, singing, interacting in the home, etc. The pure segregation between the groups is a myth. By his own acknowledgement, Medad has spoken before hundreds of the volunteers.

Here are several examples of Jews mingling and interacting with Hayovel (please click on each point):

  • Hayovel volunteers dancing with Jews in the vineyards of Ofra. (Notice that Waller and a kipah wearing Avi Lipkind are featured on an overt “messianic site” that targets Jews. That Lipkind would ever talk to these people is outrageous. Pray tell me, why would Waller ever appear on such an overt missionary porgram? This is the last program a righteous, non-missionizing gentile would ever appear on!)

If you are going to call me a liar, Yisrael, at least have the sense to destroy any or all video documentation on the web which proves that I am correct. Baruch Hashem for our age of social media! The Almighty truly sends the antidote before the plague.

Point #11: Medad concludes by citing my statement: “A spiritual contagion is growing in the Shomron. They are aided by religious Jews who, for economic and political reasons, have eagerly taken Brother Esau’s hand.”

Medad’s response: If there is any ‘contagion,’ it is the type of argumentation and lack of facts displayed. Luckily, there is an antidote: the truth. Those who seek to proselytize need be combated. Those who seek to aid are to be welcomed, with all due supervision.

My concluding remarks: True to form, Medad doesn’t like facts. His emotional response is not to respond with intellectual points of his own to counter the evidence, but rather to shout the “facts” down as falsehoods without responding. This is not the manner of one who is capable of having a rational discussion. I stand by my statement. There is a contagion in Israel and it is being aided by religious Jews.

Unfortunately, Hayovel has managed to dupe the esteemed Rav Eliezer Melamed, shlita, of Har Brachah. Try as he might, Medad will not goad me into attacking Rav Melamed. As little as I can understand it given the weight of evidence, I will be dan lkaf z’chut that such a gadol would never give approval to such a venture if he truly knew what was going on. Those of us committed to ending this insanity will certainly welcome the opportunity to speak with Rav Melamed. So with respect, and despite the imperative to combat a chillul Hashem, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. But that is where it ends. Since Rav Melamed is currently unaware of the danger, we must speak out in his stead and expose Hayovel. Furthermore, the self-appointed Jewish leaders who have brought this mess upon us are not so innocent. They have exposed Am Yisroel to a tremendous spiritual danger. And so they too must be exposed.

Consider the following hypothetical scenario: Evangelicals in America approach the principals of Jewish yeshivot and summer camps to profess their love for the Jewish people. They merely want to volunteer by taking care of school property or camp grounds and thus assist the Jewish people. I can assure you with absolute certainlty there is not one mainstream yeshiva in America that would accept such an offer. No one would subject their children to even such a limited interaction. The irony is that only in Israel, where a respect for divine miracles has eroded into a peculiar bizarre form of forbidden messianism, can such a thing occur. Generally, for the most part, the Jewish communities in Israel and abroad are unaware of what is happening. Fortunately, efforts are underway to finally expose the Wallers and those who aid them. That day is coming. And the Yisrael Medads of the world will have to answer for their sins.
