El Al Airlines, the national airline of Israel

Israel’s national carrier, El Al Airlines Ltd. plans to relaunch direct flights between Tel Aviv and Chicago’s O’Hare Airport after a 20-year hiatus.

The airline and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel made the announcement together last week.

Beginning in March 2020, the new flights will take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Passengers will be flown on the carrier’s new 282-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
