Of the New York City congressional delegation Democrats who have announced their positions, only Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY-10) and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) have thus far expressed support for the JCPOA, while six have come out against the deal: House Representatives Grace Meng (D-NY-6), Nita Lowey (D-NY-17), Steve Israel (D-NY-3), Kathleen Rice (D-NY-4), Eliot Engel (D-NY-16) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) who have now been joined by Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY-12), bringing the total to seven.

New York City legislators who remain on the fence include Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-8) and Rep. Yvette Clark (D-NY-9).
