“We arrived quickly on scene in large numbers and saw a great deal of destruction,” said MDA paramedic Elad Salama and EMT Lior Harel. “We are searching nearby buildings to ensure that there are no further casualties,” they added.

Multiple vehicles were completely destroyed when the rocket landed on the street in the middle of a residential area in the Tel Aviv suburb.

Nine rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome aerial defense system in the skies over Holon and Rishon Lezion.

Seven rockets were intercepted over the Gaza border city of Sderot as well. There were no reports of property damage or casualties.

More than a million Israelis were forced to race for cover as Red Alert incoming rocket sirens activated throughout the metro Tel Aviv and surrounding areas, as well as in the Gaza Envelope.
