US Jewish Groups Sending Aid to Syrian Refugees in Jordan

By: JTA

A coalition of Jewish groups coordinated by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee is providing more than $100,000 in aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan.

The Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief, which is made up of 14 organizations and coordinated by the Joint, convened Thursday in New York to allocate the money to several groups providing aid to Syrian refugees in refugee camps in Jordan, a JDC spokesman told JTA.

The money is going to the Jordanian Red Crescent, which is the kingdom’s version of the Red Cross; Israel Flying Aid, for food distribution; World Jewish Relief, which is working with the Save the Children program in one of the refugee camps; and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), for resettlement work.

Approximately 1 million refugees from Syria’s two-year-old civil war have fled in roughly equal numbers to Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon.

Aiding the enemy? Sending money to those who hate you? Like sending aid to wounded nazi soldiers in WWII.

  2. Yechiel Baum says:

how much did the Arabs donate during WWII and during the Arab pogroms against the Jews other than their creating battalions of Moslem as allies to the Nazi's. Moreover, these same Syrians took over Jewish homes, businesses, and defaced thousand year old Synagogues and holy scripture and now we have to thank them by helping them – where was their help to the Syrian Jews? Are the Jews out of their minds? Charges of misuse of Jewish funds should be brought up to those signing those checks and refund to be demanded!

My God, how unfair and stupid, naive & foolish! There are dozens of insanely wealthy Muslims countries perfectly capable of assisting their people! How dare these outrageous imbeciles give away the money we gave them for Jews who are desperately poor, who wouldn't cut our throats given the first chance. How many stupid Jews who run agencies are out there in this insane world of theirs that ignores & highly disrespects the overwhelming vast majority of Muslims, Arab Muslims in particular, who want nothing in this world more than to behead these stupid Jews. IDIOTS! SUICIDAL IMBECILES! Since you may just be completely naive: palwatch.org thereligionofpeace.com memritv.org citizenwarrior.com can be a good start, so you can see how insanely foolish it is to think that this is a good thing. God this pisses me off.

  6. More actions like this? More Jewish money to aid Muslims? Woman, what is WRONG with you?

  7. Well, I guess every single Jew in the entire world has more than enough to eat. That must be the case, because otherwise, sending food to gentiles would make no sense. But it is much worse than that: they are helping to feed our islamofascist enemies. How stupid can Jews get?

  8. Maybe, Jews want to show that they are in fact.. Staph athletic to those who have devastation going on..Not being at all like their enemies .. But, I understand also.. That it is the Muslims who truly should be rallying to take care of their own.. There are poor Jews all around the world and within Israel that need our help.
