The IDF Home Front Command announced Monday evening that following a situation assessment, the local authorities in southern Israel have been instructed to keep the schools closed for another day due to the ongoing rocket attacks still being fired from Gaza.

As a result, classes are cancelled in all educational settings in the following cities and districts:
Ashkelon, Netivot, Sderot
Ashkelon Beach Regional Council district
Eshkol Regional Council district
Sdot Regional Council district, and
Shaar HaNegev Regional Council district.

No educational activities are to be allowed in the above areas. Gatherings and events can only be held with a maximum of 300 people, and only inside a building. No events can be held outside at this time.

It is permitted to go to a place of employment ONLY if there is a protected space that can be reached within the time before rocket impact.

These instructions are in effect until 8 pm Tuesday evening.
