A large-scale military exercise is set to begin this week in various parts of the country, the IDF Spokesperson has announced.

Residents of the Jordan Valley, Upper Galilee, Nahariya, the area around Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and in the Golan Heights are likely to hear sirens and possibly explosions.

Warplanes and helicopter gunships as well as military vehicles will also be visible. Smoke may be seen coming from some of the IDF bases.
