Antwerp Police Laughed at Brutal Anti-Semitic Attack

The question is whether to charge the attackers of the Antwerp police. Anti-Semites attacked a woman and break her nose. As an ambulance took her to the hospital, police laughed with the attackers.

Publicity in Belgium and on Israeli television of police dismissal of a brutal anti-Semitic attack on a woman on her apartment has raised the rafters in Brussels where one Jewish leader said the incident “sounds like something from 1930s Germany.”

The police not only ignored the attack but also scoffed at it after neighbors attacked Cindy Meul in her apartment after they constantly harassed her and her girlfriend, former Israeli tennis champion Ruth Sverdloff and her daughters.

When the two women moved into their apartment, Sverdloff promptly put a mezuzah on the apartment door.

The neighbors then banged on the walls and shouted,” stinking Jews,” “we do not want Jews in this building” and other expressions that cannot be reprinted here, lawyer Mischael Modrikamen told the Jewish magazine Joods Actueel in Antwerp. They said they came “to finish what the Nazis started.”

The hate language turned to violence when two neighbors burst into the apartment on May 24 and beat up Meul, who was alone at the time, and broke her nose.

‘’When the ambulance took Cindy Meul at hospital, she saw a policewoman laughing and chatting with the aggressors,” Modrikamen told the Jewish magazine. Meul was hospitalized for 15 days.

When Sverdloff complained to the police in English, she was reportedly told by a police officer, “This is Flanders and you must speak Flemish.”

The police did not act on the complaints until the publicity nearly a month later.

Sverdloff was so concerned that she sent her daughter to her grandparents “because the child was too scared to stay here any longer.”

Joel Rubinfeld, the Brussels-born co-chair of the European Jewish Parliament, said, “The reports concerning this case are extremely disconcerting: It sounds like something from 1930s Germany. Especially disquieting is the authorities’ apparent inaction.” The JTA reported.

Earlier this month prosecutors in Brussels decided not to file charges in a separate case from 2011, in which a 15-year-old Jewish girl who was identified in the Belgian media only as Oceane was attacked outside her school by five boys who called her a “dirty Jew” before hitting her repeatedly in the face. “A pattern of indifference emerges,” Rubinfeld said.

they are merely godless gentiles who have exchanged one superstition for another. The police are no better than thugs in a uniform.

What explanation is there for what many Jews complain is age old, ubiquitous, anti-Semitism? Could it be that it is the result of what is described in the New Testament when the crowd cried: "Let his blood come us and OUR CHILDREN!"?
    It sure fits, doesn't it!

Just as a FYI, this story might actually be a little different than what is presented here, and what the couple says. There has been an official police response to this incident, and people who live in the appartment block have also reacted, and this paints quite a different picture.
As for the accusations of anti-semitic slurs prior to the violence, the police have stated that they had not received a SINGLE complaint from the couple about this. They had, however, received several complaints from neighbours about loud, drunk, nightly partying binges BY the couple, and had gone to the apartment on four or five occasions to deal with the disturbance. The police also states that the fight which resulted in Meul's broken nose happened in the hallway, not in the apartment. Meul, again according to the police, was very clearly drunk at the time, refused medical assistance, and refused to make a statement to the police. She has since been invited to come to the police office to make a statement several times, but has still not done so.
Quite a different story, isn't it?

  14. The attackers are probably Muslims dumbass. If you haven't noticed yet, like 95% of anti-semitic attacks in places like France and Belgium are perpetrated by Maghrebi immigrants. Look at the Toulouse shooter. Do christians yell "allahu akbar" when they attack jews?

  15. Shhhhhhh……don't ruin this perfect opportunity for these bigots to bash European christians.

  16. We ask ourselves and others: Where was G-d during the holocaust?" What we need to ask is: "Where was mankind during the holocaust?" Where is , we need to re.

  17. I hear people asking: "Where was G-d during the Holocaust?" A Rabbi once said: "That question needs to be reframed. Where was mankind during the Holocaust?"

Maybe a good idea for some Military trained young Jewish men to patrol some of those areas with Black Russian Terrier dogs (they can stand up to 81 c/m to their shoulders and some weigh up to 80 kg) It would make a change for Jews to smash a few heads in belonging to those Jew-hating pieces of garbage.

The policewoman that laughed together with the assailants of the Jewish woman when taken by ambulance to hospital should be tried in a court of law, stripped of her police career and thrown into prison when proved guilty.

Get the names of those neighbors to find out what they and their families did during WWII and prosecute them as Nazis. They seem to have fallen out of the closet.
