Abbas’ Fatah Movement Brags It Killed 11,000 Israelis

Monday, August 11th, 2014

Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah is challenging those who try to minimize its leadership role in the Palestinian conflict with Israel by ignoring any actions that seek peace with Israel and instead  promoting only actions of violence and terror.

It even made the fictitious claim that its attacks have killed 11,000 Israelis.

The faction head by Abbas, who has been crowned by the Obama administration as the best friend for Israel since Yasser Arafat, not only did not mention the Oslo Accords but also boasted that one of members of the Palestinian Authority security force, given weapons by Israel to fight terror, infiltrated into a Jewish community near Gaza.

One of the actions it bragged about was being the “first Palestinian faction to reach the [Israeli] nuclear reactor,” which is actually a reference to a bus hijacking and murder of three Israeli civilians on their way to work at the nuclear plant.

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has documented a post this week on Fatah’s Facebook page celebrating and bragging about Fatah’s murder of Israeli civilians:

“Listen well! To whoever does not know Fatah and argues with this giant movement: Fatah has killed 11,000 Israelis,” the Facebook post states in a translated version on PMW’s website.

“Fatah has sacrificed 170,000 Martyrs (Shahids).

“Fatah was the first to carry out operations [terror attacks] during the first Intifada, and it was the first Palestinian faction to reach the nuclear reactor in Dimona [sic].

“Fatah was the first to fight in the second Intifada [also known as the Oslo War]….

(Baha Al-Sa’id, an officer in the Preventive Security Forces, infiltrated an Israeli settlement on the border with Gaza) [parenthesis in source]…

“Fatah was the first to defeat the Zionist enemy (Battle of El-Karameh) [parenthesis in source]…

“Fatah led the Palestinian attack on Israel in the UN

“Fatah leads the peaceful popular resistance against Israel…

“Stop and think before you attack [Fatah].”

Suicide Bombers Being Trained to ‘Dress Like Jews’

Wednesday, August 6th, 2014

Suicide bombers are once again being trained to dress like Orthodox Jews in preparation for carrying out mass casualty attacks in Israel, while Palestinian Arab factions are sitting in Cairo talking with Israeli representatives about a proposal to stop the war in Gaza.

Last month both Hamas and Fatah — the two main partners in the Palestinian Authority unity government — urged Arabs to carry out suicide bombings against Israel.

Although one faction is based in Gaza and the other in Ramallah, both have military terror divisions that carry out attacks against Israel. Only Hamas is recognized by the United States as an official terrorist organization, however.

According to a clip translated by the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) organization, PA TV viewers were treated to a poem written by Palestinian ‘national poet’ Mahmoud Darwish, which was used as part of a program to demonize Israel as an enemy targeting women and children.

The phrasing could be interpreted as encouraging suicide bombing, but some literature analysts say the deeper meaning of the poem is actually a critique on suicide bombings.

The words chosen for inclusion in the program by PA TV seemed to present suicide bombing positively – literally as an expression of life – but as writers well know, it is easy to take words out of context and to twist them to one’s own personal use.

Thus did PA TV use the words of Darwish:

“She wraps her waist with dynamite and explodes… It is neither death… nor suicide… It is Gaza’s way to declare its right to life.”

The video demonizes Israel as an enemy targeting women and children and concludes that suicide terror will go on:

“She shall continue to explode.  It is neither death nor suicide.”

When one reads the entire poem – “Silence for Gaza” — one sees clearly the Darwish was not referring at all to suicide bombers or terror but rather to a much broader image of the enclave and its people.

Likewise, Fatah also called on its people to launch missiles at Israel; as late as Monday night, just prior to the cease fire, two of the faction’s military arms joined with other terror groups in Gaza in doing so.

On Hamas TV, viewers were urged to dress up like Jews and carry out suicide bombings – in fact, they were even shown how to do it.

A Hamas video showed a terrorist putting on a suicide explosives belt, and then donning the clothing of a stereotypical, bearded Orthodox Jewish civilian. He is then seen escorted by his handler to the exit and sent on his way to commit a suicide bombing.

YouTube OKs Fatah Incitement in Arabic but not in Hebrew (Video)

Monday, December 30th, 2013

YouTube once again has allowed the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, the terrorist wing of the Fatah party headed by Mahmoud Abbas, to incite murdering Jews while blocking the exact same video that a media watchdog group posted with Hebrew subtitles.

You Tube apparently does not consider the publicizing of threats to kidnap, kill, and bomb Israelis to be incitement so long as it is done in the Arabic language on Fatah’s official Facebook Pages.

If you click here for the Hebrew version, and then press on the line to see the video, this message appears: “This video has been removed as a violation of You Tube’s policy prohibiting hate speech.”

Perhaps YouTube blocked the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) posting with subtitles in Hebrew because it would be hate speech for Arabs who, seeing the message in Hebrew, might be driven to murder Jews.

Or perhaps YouTube is more worried that Hebrew-speaking anti-Zionists will be incited to murder fellow Jews.

It has no trouble with English’s speakers. Maybe the English version is not hate speech but simply is the language of the “resistance,” with such peace partner language as, “Bombard them with your fire and shoot them.”

The video continues, “Praise Allah, our Jihad fighters have managed to develop these rockets so they will reach the Zionist depth [Israel]… We in the Al-Aqsa Brigades are preparing to kidnap Zionist soldiers to settle accounts with the Zionist enemy…  Be like Yasser [Arafat] – do not fear them. Death is in your cup – make them drink… With these rockets we will crush the Zionist enemy.”

YouTube’s policy states on its site, “While it might not seem fair to say you can’t show something because of what viewers might do in response, we draw the line at content that intends to incite violence or encourage dangerous or illegal activities that have an inherent risk of serious physical harm or death. Videos that we consider to encourage dangerous or illegal activities include instructional bomb making, choking games, hard drug use, or other acts where serious injury may result.”

Unless Fatah posts the clip.

This is not the first time PMW’s documentation has been impeded by YouTube. In the past, PMW videos have been blocked and PMW’s YouTube account has been closed down. This happened when PMW exposed hate speech voiced by the Palestinian Authority mufti, who preached that the destiny of Muslims is to kill Jews, and again recently when PMW exposed a PA TV broadcast of a young girl reciting a poem referring to Jews as “Allah’s enemies, the sons of pigs,” who “murdered children,” “cut off their limbs,” “raped the women in the city squares” and “defiled Allah’s book.”

YouTube was contacted by viewers and PMW videos and accounts were later unblocked each time.

As this is being published, the Hebrew site remains blocked.

Abbas’ Fatah Party Lauds Female Terrorist as ‘Master of the World’

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013

The administrator of one of Fatah’s official Facebook pages recently posted a picture glorifying Palestinian female terrorists and the Palestinian woman, defining her as the “[female] master of the world, according to Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), which translated and published the blatant incitement.

The Facebook posting in June flies in the face of constant statements by the Obama administration, including the president himself, that  chairman Mahmoud Abbas has lived up to its commitment to stop incitement against Israel and Jews.

The Facebook posting praises the women terrorists and states that each one “gave herself only as a Martyr.”

The posting includes pictures of three women as examples of this heroic Palestinian woman: Dalal Mughrabi, Ayyat Al-Akhras and Laila Khaled.

Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians, 12 of them children.

Ayyat Al-Akhras, at age 17, was the youngest female Palestinian suicide bomber. She killed 2 Israelis and injured 28 in a suicide bombing near a Jerusalem supermarket on March 29, 2002.

Laila Khaled was a PFLP terrorist who participated in the hijacking of TWA flight 840 in 1969.

The terrorists are pictured with a rifle, a pistol and wearing an ammunition belt, respectively. Palestinian Media Watch has reported that Fatah regularly uses its Facebook page to glorify terrorists.

The text on the picture with the three terrorists praises each one as the female “master of the world.” It adds, “Men should be humbled in her presence and the moon should hide. I bow my head and kiss the hand of every Palestinian woman.”

It describes how – contrary to the world’s other women who the text claims do not care about their homeland, give in to conquerors, and even entertain them – Palestinian women are worthy of admiration and praise for becoming “Martyrs.” Two of the terrorists pictured became “Martyrs” during their terror attacks:

“Except for you, oh mother of purity, honor and modesty.

For you gave yourself only as a Martyr (Shahida);

Except for you, oh olive branch, oh tree of nobility, oh wellspring of honor.

The hardships exhausted you and the pickaxes fell on you,

but you were not exhausted and you did not break.

For you are the Palestinian woman who gave herself only as a Martyr.”

This past January, female terrorists were also presented on official; Palestinian Authority television as role models and heroes for Palestinian women by the coordinator of the Palestinian universities’ Fatah sorority committee called “Sisters of Dalal,” Ayyat Salah Al-Din:

“When we speak of the ‘Sisters of Dalal,’ we’re talking about a prisoner’s sister, a Martyr’s (Shahid) widow, or the Palestinian fighter’s daughter in general. You’re talking about the successors of Martyr Dalal Mughrabi, and the successors of Martyrdom-seekers (i.e., suicide terrorists) like Wafa Idris, Ayyat Al-Akhras, Andalib Takatka, and many others.”

As previously reported, The PA-run city of Bethlehem last January glorified “the district’s female Martyrs” during a public ceremony in which the terrorists’ were honored, including the families of the two female suicide bombers Ayyat Al-Akhras and Andalib Takatka.

At the ceremony, Bethlehem Mayor Vera Baboun stated that “the existence of female Palestinian Martyrs is very significant to the role of the woman in all areas of life,” according to the official PA daily, PMW reported.

The Al-Hayat Al-Jadida newspaper told its readers,  “District Governor Abd Al-Fattah Hamayel said, ‘The Martyrs’ victory began to become real with the declaration of Palestinian statehood, in spite of all attempts to erase the Palestinian identity.’ … At the end of the ceremony, the families of the female Martyrs were honored, among them: … [the families of] Ayyat Al-Akhras… and Andalib Khalil Muhammad Suleiman (Andalib Takatka).”

Andalib Khalil Muhammad Suleiman or Andalib Takatka – female suicide bomber who killed six and wounded more than 80 in her attack on Jerusalem’s Mahaneh Yehuda outdoor market on April 12, 2002.

Now that  U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has forced Israel and the Palestinian Authority to resume direct talks, it is probable that the PA will  tone down the incitement, but only until the talks get to the point where Abbas does not get what he wants.

Red Cross Bares Its Heart and Soul, Honors PA Terrorists

Sunday, May 12th, 2013

The International Red Cross together with the Palestinian Red Crescent in Jenin planted 150 trees bearing the names of “veteran prisoners” who were convicted and jailed for murdering Israelis.

Most foreign and local media call them “militants,” reserving the word terrorists for those who kill people for political gain in a media outlet’s home country.

The Palestinian Authority now has helped the Red Cross add another word to the Orwellian Middle East dictionary: “Veteran prisoners.”

The official Palestinian Authority daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported last week that the Red Cross and Red Crescent “planted 150 fruit trees that carry the names of the veteran prisoners jailed in the occupation prisons.” The article was translated and published on Sunday by the Palestinian Media Watch.

Al-Hayat Al-Jadida told its readers that the two organizations “conducted a ceremony called ‘My Honor is My Freedom’ in the village of Zububa to mark the 150th anniversary of their founding. Fruit trees were planted at the entrance to the village, where the racist annexation and expansion wall that has swallowed up thousands of acres [of land] was built.”

The Red Cross has a very cozy relationship with the Palestinian Authority, where the Red Crescent has long been a member of the international organization. Israel’s Magen David rescue services were not accepted by the International Federation of Red Cross until 2005, but on a condition: Magen David has to agree not to operate in Judea and Samaria or areas in Jerusalem claimed by the Palestinian Authority.

Displaying the Jewish Star of David, the translation of the term Magen David and the symbol used on its ambulances, would suggest that the Red Cross, God forbid, acknowledges that Jews can live in Judea and Samaria and all of Jerusalem.

The Red Cross, in its devotion to protecting the rights of prisoners under the Geneva Convention, dutifully makes sure that Israel opens its jails to relatives of jailed Palestinian Authority terrorists.

It took an entirely different attitude during the five heart-wrenching years that Hamas held Gilad Shalit hostage after kidnapping him in a terrorist attack in 2006 that left two other soldiers murdered. The Red Cross went through the motions of demanding his release but did not place any pressure on the Ramallah-based Palestinian Authority to work for his freedom.

Shalit’s father Gilad said during his son’s captivity, “We demand that the Red Cross’ approach be more active and decisive. I would like to believe that they would give us a sign of life from Gilad. We are conducting ongoing dialogue with the Red Cross but it has not been much help. I did not hear them condemn Hamas on its crime against Gilad. The Red Cross has been a complete failure in this affair.”

It took the Red Cross almost five years until it made a belatedly public appeal for his release. When Shalit was released, the Red Cross did not even examine him.

The Red Cross also took no action against the Red Crescent and the Palestinian Authority’s assisting terrorism in the early part of this century, during the advanced stage of the Intifada that is also called the “Second Intifada” and the “Oslo War.”

IDF occasionally foiled terrorist attacks by inspecting Red Crescent ambulances before allowing them to continue from Judea and Samaria into urban Israel. More than once, soldiers discovered explosives and weapons under the beds of supposedly pregnant women, a gross violation of international law.

This did not stop the Red Cross from honoring the “prisoners.”

If anyone questions that they really are terrorists, check out the background of such “veteran prisoners” as Karim and Maher Younes, Issa Abd Rabbo, Osama Al-Silawi, Mohammed Turkeman, Nasser Abu Surour and Mahmoud Abu Surour, Zaid Younes, Ibrahim Al-Taqtuq, Ikram Mansour, Ahmed Ka’abna, Nael and Fakhri Barghouti and Samir Kuntar, Jamal Hweil, Jamal Tirawi and Jum’a Adam.

The name “Kuntar” should ring a bell.

Born in Lebanon, he joined the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) with the stated goal of killing Jews.

At the age of 16, he helped kidnap an Israeli family from Nahariya, on the northeast Mediterranean Coast. He murdered four people, including a 4-year-old daughter, in the presence of her father, who also was killed. He was cited as a hero by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Syrian President Bashar Assad.

PA Official: ‘If We Had a Nuke, We’d Use It This Morning’ (Video)

Thursday, May 9th, 2013

A Palestinian Authority official and senior member of Fatah, headed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, said on Lebanese television, “We as yet don’t have a nuke, but I swear that if we did have a nuke, we’d have used it this very morning.”

The Palestine Media Watch translated and published the transcription of an interview on the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen television station last week. PMW also provided a video, with English subtitles of the exchange between Rajoub and the interviewer.

Following is the transcription of the interview, provided by PMW, leading up to the comment on nukes.

Lebanese TV moderator: “The American [John Kerry] came to the PA. They are talking about reviving negotiations, about getting back to the table with the Israelis… Will you go back to the negotiations game?”

Jibril Rajoub: “There is no going back to negotiations unless the source of authority is the international resolutions, with a time frame and with the freezing of all unilateral Israeli steps: Jerusalem, the fence, settlements and prisoners.”

Moderator: “You’ve heard Israel’s refusal.”

Jibril Rajoub: “That doesn’t matter. Listen. We as yet don’t have a nuke, but I swear that if we did have a nuke, we’d have used it this very morning.”

Rajoub  is a classic example of Israel’s revolving-door policy of releasing terrorists from jail so they can return to terror, and in this case, explicitly back the annihilation of Israel with a nuclear weapon.

Rajoub started his career as a terrorist when he was a teenager in Hevron, where he was arrested on suspicion of aiding fleeing Egyptian officers.

After his release from jail, he joined Fatah and took on the mission of building up terrorist cells in the Hevron area.

Israeli authorities put him in jail for throwing grenades at an IDF bus but freed him, along with approximately 1,150 other PA terrorists and security prisoners, in exchange for three Israeli hostages in 1985.

He again was jailed and released two other times for returning to terror activity, and the third time around, Israeli authorities deported him to Lebanon in 1988.

He moved up in the Fatah ranks and became an assistant to Yasser Arafat. Israel let him back into the country after the political euphoria of the Oslo Accords.

Abbas’ Fatah Party Praises ‘Hero’ Who Stabbed Jew to Death

Wednesday, May 1st, 2013

The Fatah party, headed by Palestinian Authority PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, took no more than 12 hours before lauding the terrorist who stabbed to death 31-year-old Evyatar Borovsky, father of five children, Tuesday morning in northeastern Samaria.

The praise directly contradicts Obama administration claims that the Palestinian Authority no longer incites terror.

A picture of the  terrorist and of the victim, with tefillin, were posted on Fatah’s Facebook page, and the text, translated and published online by the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), calls the murderer, “The hero, the released prisoner, Salam Al-Zaghal.”

Al-Zaghal was released from jail last year after serving time for hurling rocks at Jews. Out of jail, he abandoned rocks and firebombs on Tuesday for more serious weapons, like a deadly knife.

“The youth Salam Al-Zaghal who stabbed the settler at the Al-Za’atara military checkpoint comes from the village of Shweika located in the Tulkarm District. He is a released prisoner who sat in the occupation’s prisons for 4 years,” the Fatah page stated, according to PMW.

Under one picture, a caption states, “Salam Al-Zaghal who stabbed the settler at the Al-Za’atara checkpoint is a released prisoner who sat in the occupation’s prisons for 4 years.”

Another caption reads, “Peace upon you, on the day of your birth, on the day of your arrest, and on the day you will go free”

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry bragged last month that proof of the Palestinian Authority’s presumed ability to promote peace and not terror is the fact that no one Jew was killed in 2012.

He did not talk about 2011, when a two-year-old boy and his American-Israeli father, Asher Palmer, were killed after a Palestinian Authority terrorist hurled a rock at their vehicle. The rock hit Palmer in the head, and he lost control of his car, which crashed off the highway’s shoulder, killing him and his son.

It remains to be seen if Kerry will talk about 2013, although he can claim that for four full months, minus one day, a Palestinian Authority terrorist did not kill any Jews.

That does not means they did not try, not once and not twice but hundreds of times.
