The U.S. State Department has confirmed that Rabbi Aryeh Lightstone of New York will become an adviser to U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman at the U.S. Embassy in Israel, The Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.

A graduate of Yeshiva University, Lightstone has served in a number of educational roles across new York and Long Island; he has also served as a regional director of New York NCSY.

According to his bio he has also gained the admiration of Ivanka Trump, Senator Joseph Lieberman and the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, among others.
