Ya’alon Warns Israel’s Enemies Divided on Ideology But United in Hatred

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015

Israel’s Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon warned Tuesday that Israel’s enemies are split along ideological lines, but united in their hatred of the Jewish State.

The defense minister noted there appear are several axes among those aligned against Israel: on one side are forces united with the Muslim Brotherhood, which include Turkey and Qatar. On another, there are those united with the Global Jihad movement, which include Salafi Islamists such as Al Qaeda-linked groups such as the Army of Islam, and Da’esh (ISIS).

Both are united in their hatred of Jews and Israel, and the “unwillingness… to recognize our right to exist as the nation state of the Jewish people,” Ya’alon said – as is the Palestinian Authority.

[PLO Chairman Yasser] “Arafat and [Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud] Abbas also did not want to end the conflict on the 1967 borders,” he said.

In remarks broadcast last week on official Palestinian Authority television, Abbas said in Arabic to the United Nations Human Rights Commission in Geneva: “Mr. President, ladies and gentlemen, haven’t you wondered: For how long will this protracted Israeli occupation of our land last? After 67 years (i.e., the re-creation of the State of Israel), how long? Do you think it can last, and that it benefits the Palestinian people?”

The remarks were translated and reported by the media watchdog organization Palestinian Media Watch (PMW). Www.palwatch.org

Israel has “zero tolerance” for arms sales to terrorists, the defense minister said in remarks following alleged Israeli air strikes against Hezbollah near the Syrian-Lebanese border.

Speaking at a Kibbutz Leadership conference in Judea-based Kibbutz Ma’ale Hamisha, near Jerusalem, Ya’alon warned in a cryptic remark, “Those who cross red lines will be hit.” It is believed that Ya’alon was referring not only to standard ordnance but also to the transfer of chemical weapons by Syria to the Hezbollah terrorists who have fought to defend President Bashar al-Asssad.

Ya’alon commented that the Hamas terror organization has only withheld hostilities out of dire necessity: “not because they have turned Zionist, but due to the price they paid [last year] in Operation Protective Edge.”

Cabinet to Talk on Dealing with Radical Muslim Groups

Saturday, October 10th, 2015

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will discuss with the Cabinet Sunday on how to deal with the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Movement in an effort to restore calm and end the violence that has spread deep into the urban areas of Israel.

(An earlier version of this article incorrectly state that the Prime Minister would meet with radical Islamic leaders.)

Hundreds of policemen have been deployed through the country to prevent violence, Hundreds of Arabs from Kalkilya, adjacent to the Tel Aviv metropolitan city of Kfar Saba, approached the high-speed highway 6 (Kvish 6), where motorists were pelted by rocks this week.

The police closed the road for several minutes before restoring order. Part of Highway 444 near Netanya was closed after Arabs from the city of Taybeh rioted for at least the second time this week.

The repaid escalation of violence beyond eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria has clearly alarmed the country.

Prime Minister Netanyahu announced Saturday night that in addition to his attempt to deal with radicla Islamic violence, 250 reserve Border Police have been mobilized.

He stated: The three companies will reinforce the Israel Police in Jerusalem and throughout the country. An increased presence is a primary preventive and deterrent measure.

Security forces also are increasing surveillance over social media, which is being used as it was in the Arab Spring revolutions to promote violence.

The officer of the Prime Minister also said that the Prime Minister told U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday that “he expects the Palestinian Authority to stop its wild and mendacious incitement, which is causing the current wave of terrorism.

The statement added:

Kerry said he is aware of the fact that it is Israel’s policy to maintain the status quo and not change it.

Kerry Drafts Americans in War on ISIS, Offers $5 Million for Information

Thursday, October 1st, 2015

The U.S. State Dept. has posted a $5 million reward to any American who can turn over “information that will disrupt the trade of oil and trafficking of antiquities that benefit the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.”

The press release on the notice from the State Dept.’s Rewards for Justice added:

Today’s announcement marks the first time the U.S. Secretary of State has authorized a Rewards for Justice offer for information that could be used to disrupt sale or trade in oil or antiquities by, or on behalf of, a terrorist organization.

The Obama administration began to take notice of ISIS years ago, but it wasn’t until the beheading of Americans journalist James Foley last year that Americans began realizing the power and growing threat of the criminal and terror organization.

More than one year after the brutal murder of Foley, the first of three Americans who so far have been beheading victims, Kerry unveiled his weapon to defeat ISIS. His boss, President Barack Obama, told the United Nations this week that military force is not enough to overcome the radical Islamist group.

One of the reasons that has been true is that the United States foreign policy experts never really know who is on first in the Middle East. After having helped Hosni Mubarak out of power and into jail and ushering Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Morsi in power and then out of power, U.S. army officers trained and armed “trusted” rebels to fight the Assad regime. The unit graduated from training and promptly turned over the American weapons to Al Qaeda.

Apparently lacking information on ISIS’ illegal trade, Kerry now has drafted Americans into the war, figuring that good citizens will come up with the goods to lead to the disruption of ISIS criminal trade.

The State Dept. announced:

The U.S. Department of State expects this reward offer will encourage individuals to come forward with information regarding persons or entities engaged in the production, facilitation, processing, smuggling, distribution, sale, and trade of oil and antiquities that would benefit ISIL, as well as the information on the smuggling networks, methods, and routes underlying these activities.

While the United States has allowed Syria to create a military base in Syria, right across from the Israeli border, Kerry has let loose his doomsday weapon to help wipe out ISIS.

Naïve is one of the kindest words that can be used to describe American foreign policy, especially in the Middle East, a policy that has left a huge vacuum that Russian President Vladimir Putin is filling to the hilt by taking over Syrian airspace and carrying out aerial attacks.

Putin claims that the only reason Russia is bombing Syria is to attack Islamic State (ISIS) forces. The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that official said a Russian bombing raid in Syria on Wednesday targeted an area held by rebel forces that are backed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Egyptian President: Time to Include More Arab Countries in Egypt’s Peace with Israel

Sunday, September 27th, 2015

(JNi.media) Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi said in an interview with the Associated Press Saturday night that Egypt’s 40-year-peace with Israel should be expanded to include more Arab countries—while resolving the Palestinian issue. El-Sissi believes that solving the Palestinian question is the key to changing “the face of the region,” with “enormous improvement to the situation. … I’m optimistic by nature and I say that there is a great opportunity.”

El-Sissi, 60, was in New York to address a UN summit development and the annual ministerial meeting of the UN General Assembly starting Monday.

As to Egypt’s own relationship with the Palestinians, particularly in Hamas-ruled Gaza, El-Sisi reportedly told Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas when they met in New York that the security measures taken by his country along the border with Gaza were not aimed at “harming” Palestinians.

“The measures taken by Egypt to secure its eastern borders are in full coordination with the Palestinian Authority and cannot have the aim of harming our Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip,” Sisi’s office said in a statement. “The measures seek to protect the Egyptian borders and maintain Egyptian and Palestinian national security,” the statement added.

The Egyptian leader told the AP his country’s relationship with the US is “improving,” and the two countries’ ties are “strategic and stable.” He added: “The last two years were a real test of the endurance and strength” of the ties with the US.

As to his crackdown hard on the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists, with hundreds killed and thousands arrested, including deposed President Morsi, El-Sissi said: “The problem with the Muslim Brotherhood is not a problem between the government of Egypt and these people. The real problem is between the Egyptian people and the Muslim Brotherhood,” which has left “a very bad impression” which Egyptians “are not able to forgive and forget.”

El-Sissi warned that if Syria were to collapse, all its weapons and equipment would fall into terrorists’ hands, which would “pose a serious threat to the rest of the region, and this is what we fear.”

Nachshon Wachsman’s Murderer Joins Hamas Delegation to Turkey

Saturday, September 12th, 2015

A delegation of Hamas officials has arrived in Turkey to attend the annual convention of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s ruling Justice and Development AK Party.

Among those accompanying Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Meshaal is Jihad Ya’amar.

It was Ya’amar who drove the car for the terror cell that abducted and murdered IDF Sergeant Nachshon Wachsman, age 19, in 1994. Wachsman, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, was a member of an elite commando unit in the Golani Brigade.

The soldier set out at night from his Jerusalem home on October 8, 1994 after the end of the Sabbath and was picked up hitchhiking at the Bnai Atarot junction by a car of Hamas operatives wearing yarmulkas. Israeli intelligence found out they had a Tanach (Bible) and siddur (Hebrew prayerbook) on the dashboard, and Chassidic music playing at the time.

Two days later, a video was released showing Wachsman tied up, and saying that Hamas had abducted him. He also said they were demanding the release of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and 200 others from Israeli prisons and would execute him within the week if the demands were not met.

Meanwhile, the IDF had captured Jihad Ya’amar, who was subsequently convicted of Wachsman’s murder after the young officer was executed by his captors.

Ya’amar was freed in October 2011 in exchange for the release of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, kidnapped by Hamas in 2006 and held captive for five years in Gaza.

Hamas terror commander Mohammed Deif has stated that he was the commander of the operation to abduct Wachsman in Oct. 1994.

US Raises Protection for Its Sinai Multinational Peacekeeper Forces

Thursday, September 10th, 2015

The U.S. is sending more troops and equipment to beef up support for U.S. peacekeepers in the northern Sinai Peninsula, defense officials said Wednesday.

The move comes after four U.S. soldiers and two Fiji soldiers were wounded when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb during a routine patrol near the town of el-Gorah, close to their base.

Attacks on Egyptian government security forces and multinational peacekeepers increased after the Sinai-based Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis terror organization pledged itself to Da’esh (ISIS) a number of months ago. Upon its absorption into the larger, international terror organization, the group — which supports the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in its desire to overthrow the government of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi — was renamed “Sinai Province.”

At least 75 additional U.S. troops, including a light infantry platoon and a surgical team are expected to arrive in the area, according to the Associated Press.

Surveillance equipment and other assets will accompany the new troops joining the Multinational Force and Observers, defense officials said on condition of anonymity.

There are approximately720 U.S. soldiers participating in the force, which monitors compliance with the 1979 peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.
